E2829 Replacement Battery

If your GasAlertExtreme has a flashing battery icon this means that the battery has been depleted and needs to be replaced. This item number is the battery that is needed. To install the new battery simply remove the 4 screws on the back of the instrument and separate the front case from the back case. Once this is completed you will see the battery, remove it and install the new battery, paying close attention to inserting the battery in the correct polarity. Once the battery is installed reassemble the case. Next you will need to reset the time and date in the user menu. After this your GasAlertExtreme will be ready to use again.

The Altair Pro Single-Gas Detector is also compatible with the Remote Oxygen Detector application. The remote oxygen sensor is designed to be lowered into remote locations by a 10 foot cable and monitor oxygen levels, further reducing unnecessary risk. The Pro Single-Gas Detector is also compatible with many other MSA products. For testing and calibration, the Altair QuickCheck Station provides an easy and cost-efficient way to perform daily tests for gas monitoring and alarm functioning.
