Portable and Durable

Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra is extremely tough and durable and is made for extreme conditions. For example, its IP66/68 rating ensures your detector is completely resistant to dust. It can withstand water submersion to a depth of nearly four feet. Drop it, and it is still working. Take it into the dustiest areas, and you have no problems with your instrument. You can detect hazardous gases with a high degree of confidence.

The Importance of Ergonomics on the job

Today most companies are concerned about ergonomics. It is important for sitting at desks but just as important are the instruments you hold in your hand. Our handheld equipment is comfortable and easy to operate as you check out the atmosphere. The Honeywell BW™ Ultra is a perfect fit for your hand. It is slimmer than most detectors. This helps to eliminate fatigue and increase worker comfort.

Just One Button

Operation is fast and simple. You only need to use one button with the Honeywell BW™ Ultra. It is also possible to wear your gas detector as you check out confided area atmospheres. It goes where you go, and the internal pump design means no snagging.

5 Sensor Power for Detecting Hazardous Gases

Here are the most common gases your Honeywell BW™ Ultra can detect and monitor in tight spaces:

• (CO) carbon monoxide
• (O2) oxygen
• (H2S) hydrogen sulfide
• (LEL) lower explosive limit gases – percent volume or percent LEL

5th sensor – this lets you decide which fifth gas you want to add to your detector. For example, maybe you want to include chlorine or ammonia. You may need to keep track of VOCs. If you are in the pulp and paper, water treatment, or chemical industries, the option of adding gases is very important. This is especially important in the O&G industries too.

Honeywell BW™ Ultra lets you monitor unsafe situations so you can make the right decision quickly and without hesitation.

Are you looking for increased production and enhanced safety? The Honeywell BW™ Ultra can make this happen. Here is an example:

Suppose your crew is working in confined spaces and the possibility of O2 level increases means a higher chance of fire or explosion. Keep a crew member outside the area with his Honeywell BW™ Ultra monitor in hand. He can keep a close eye on conditions because the Honeywell BW™ Ultra is so easy to use and read.

This is a perfect example or being proactive on your personal safety issues.

With high-risk work you need more than simple gas monitoring

Don't be afraid to use your Honeywell BW™ Ultra wherever you need it. Yes, it is designed and manufactured for gas detection in confined areas. However, it performs just as well in day-to-day work situations, with the help of the mobile phone app – Honeywell Safety Communicator.

Do you need to monitor the air in high-risk areas?

The Honeywell BW™ Ultra with the Honeywell Safety Communicator is Bluetooth compatible. You can monitor gases remotely from a wide range of areas including control rooms and offices. This gives you more protection from emergency situations involving gas hazards in the air.

The Value of "Hole Watch" Mode

In some areas, you need constant air gases monitoring to keep your workers safe from harm. For example, how many parts per million (PPM) is safe? Here is the easiest way to solve this issue. Set your Honeywell BW™ Ultra to "Hole Watch".

What Does "Hole Watch" Do?

With Hole Watch you can keep a close eye on specific gases in the air. For instance, if chlorine levels are getting higher, you can take the necessary steps to correct the problem or evacuate your crew. You'll see each gas level in real-time, and you can check the levels as they rise and fall before your eyes.

Watch gas levels increase or decrease – only with Honeywell detectors

Your gas monitoring person is the most important crew member you have. When you give him the Honeywell BW™ Ultra, he has the best possible equipment for the job.

Enjoy the most dependable and well-made sensor technology

Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra comes with the 1-Series sensor, and this technology was the result of a mutual effort by Honeywell and City Technology (a well-known worldwide gas sensor maker for the past 40 years). The 1-Sensor is part of a line of some of the finest sensors in industry like the 40XV from our GasAlert models and the City 40xLL O2 sensor which you will find in the GasAlertMicroClip X3. With this kind of pedigree, you can trust our 1-Sensor.

Are you tired of alarms when you don’t really need them?

Some of the best things are small and compact, and this is true with the 1-Sensor. Even though it is not large, it delivers accurate measurements on a consistent basis. Do you work in very warm or cold conditions?  The 1-Sensor in our Honeywell BW™ Ultra has been tested in conditions as hot as 60C and cold as -40C. This includes high humidity levels, transient pressure, and other extreme conditions.

As Many as Five Years of Continuous Service

If you owned other detectors besides Honeywell models, you probably noticed they can go through sensors rather quickly. In fact, you may spend a lot of company time and resources on sensor changes. This does not happen with the Honeywell BW™ Ultra (1-Series sensor technology). It can last as long as 60 months (5 years), and you receive a 3-year warranty.

This gives you better performance at a lower cost.

Do you want to streamline your maintenance? The Honeywell BW™ Ultra is the equipment for you with low-cost downtime reduction.

No Hassle Calibrating and Bump Testing

How often do you need to calibrate or bump test? With most detectors, you have to take them to your docking station. Yet, if you use TouchConnect™ technology bump tests and calibration can be automatic – no docking station required.

Do you manage a fleet of gas detectors?

You may need to reset gas alarms for specific gases. Use your TouchConnect™, and this job is done for you with no problems and no hassles. This is the perfect solution to managing your time and detectors. You don't have to use special software programs or docking stations. For those with large fleets of instruments, this is a "no brainer". No manual updates thanks to Bluetooth.

Tight spaces – No problem for this 5-gas detector

How many gas hazards must you monitor at one time? Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra can handle most typical gases you face each day in the workplace. This includes carbon monoxide, oxygen, LEL, and hydrogen sulfide. Do you need a fifth gas detection property? The Honeywell BW™ Ultra can do this. For instance:

Hydrogen Sulfide

Chlorine

Carbon Dioxide

Ammonia

Hydrogen Cyanide

VOCs

Inert Atmosphere Problems Solved

The Honeywell BW™ Ultra has a special Intelligent Inert function which lets the user check for low O2 levels in the air. It can adjust the alarm settings automatically no matter if you are in a normal or inert atmosphere. For example, an ascending alarm is needed for inert environments but not for standard environments.

More than Just a Confined Space Gas Monitor

Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra works perfectly in most confined areas. However, you have the same high-quality protection in all kinds of possible hazardous conditions.

For example, after using it for tight spaces, you can also use it for other areas, and it works just as well. Are some of your workers close to sources of deadly chlorine gas? Maybe some people must use solvents or paints during the day. Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra has a removable sampling hose. Just take it out, and you can wear it as a standard gas monitor. This helps to keep equipment costs down while maintaining safety.
