Rugged, Reliable, and Flexible

The detector models are constructed to withstand the abuse of hazardous work environments. The TXgard and Flamgard Plus detectors use marine grade aluminum with a stainless steel sensor housing to ensure the safety and integrity of the equipment. The TXgard-IS+ is constructed of carbon-loaded nylon. The models also feature flexible output options including 2 or 3 wire formats, optional relays for alarm and fault, and 4-20mA current sink or source. Crowcon also has a wide variety of catalytic and electrochemical gas sensors to fit these models (currently offering more than 25 individual gas sensors).

Flamgard Plus and TXgardPlus Specifications

The Flamgard Plus and TXgard Plus models are similar in size (200 x 115 x 115 mm) and weight (2.2 kilograms). However, the Flamgard Plus utilizes a catalytic bead sensor and the TXgard Plus utilizes an electrochemical sensor. Both feature an ingress protection with an IP66 weatherproof cap and 2 x M20 x ½ NPT cable entries. These models feature optional relays of SPNO or SPNC contacts rated 30 Vdc 1A (non-inductive load) for Alarm 1 and fault for Alarm 2.

For easy reading, these models have a 3 digit backlit display with and LED status indicator. The magnetically operated buttons control the calibration method and the terminals are suited for up to 1.5 mm2 cable. Both models are suited for usage in hazardous zones 1 and 2.

TXgard IS+ and Specs

The TXgard IS+ is slightly smaller than the other two models and houses an electrochemical sensor type. It is approximately 160 x 123 x 92 mm in size and .7 kilograms in weight. This unit also features an IP66 weatherproof cap for ingress protection. The display is slightly smaller than the other two models, and offers a 2 line 16 character LCD screen. The calibration method is operated via front mounted push buttons, and its terminals are suited for up to 2.5 mm2 cables. This model is appropriate for hazardous zones 0, 1, and 2, and when connected via an isolation device, the TXgard IS+ is suited for hazardous zones 20, 21, and 22.

64123 PS200 2-Gas Personal Safety Monitor - LEL/CO, Pumped by GMI

The PS200 is a rugged, easy to use portable multi-gas detector ideal for use in confined spaces and hotworks. Both lightweight and durable the instrument monitors and displays up to four hazardous gas conditions simultaneously using catalytic bead sensor technology for a wide range of combustible gases, and electrochemical sensors for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and oxygen deficiency. Operator interface and calibration are intuitive and easy by toggling between simple one-button functions. During hazardous conditions users are alerted via three alarm functions: vibration, red flashing LEDs, and audible buzzer. The Direct Connect Sensors are designed to be use in both indoor and outdoor settings. Additionally, some of the sensors are available in explosion proof models. Sensor Technology

Each sensor is crafted with stainless steel and housed in cast aluminum (stainless steel housing is available for some sensors). The Direct Connect Sensors are available in 2 forms: explosion proof and non-explosion proof. The explosion proof sensors are available as catalytic sensors for LEL, and LEL H2 specific. For hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, the sensors utilize electrochemical technology which provides incredibly specific accuracy and quick response. Oxygen sensors work with galvanic technology, and infrared sensors for methane, hydrocarbons, and carbon dioxide. Non-explosion proof uses a galvanic sensor for oxygen; electrochemical sensors for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases; and infrared for carbon dioxide. Both explosion proof and non-explosion proof have 1 year warranties for materials and craftsmanship.

Specifications

The response times are under 30 seconds for all gases except hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide in the non-explosion versions (with a response time of 35 seconds) and non-explosion proof model sensor for toxic gases which has a 60 second response time. The life expectancy of all sensors are between 2 and 5 years.
