The MSA Altair Maintenance-Free Single-Gas Detector comes is available in variety of gas detection models including oxygen, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide. The unit is designed to notify users of gas monitoring with visual alarms of ultra-bright LED lights (which remain visibly noticeable when stored in pockets) and a screen display, distinct audible alarms of over 95 decibels, and vibrating alarms. The replacement parts are also readily available and compatible with all Xgard models, thereby reducing the amount of required spare parts that are stored in the facility. Additionally, the sensors have two times the typical life spans of similar sensors in the industry. With a 2 year life span, worksites can expect to cut their sensor replacement costs in half. For worksites that require slightly more customization, Crowcon offers compatible accessories for the Xgard series such as sampling applications, remote gassing applications, spray deflectors, sun shields, weatherproof caps, collector cones, flow adapter, and accessories adapter.
