Tough and reliable

The Xgard series of fixed point gas detectors is incredibly durable and reliable. The casings and materials, including weatherproof caps, are designed to protect the equipment from the harshest environments. The detectors are made from a variety of materials depending on the model: glass reinforced nylon, aluminum with polyester coating, and 316 stainless steel.

Variety of sensors

The fixed point gas detector offers a wide range of sensors for to suite almost all applications. The Xgard range of gas detectors is available in three models to meet varying worksite needs: flameproof, intrinsically safe, and safe area formats. Additionally, Xgard offers different types of fixed point gas detectors within these three models:

Cost efficient and highly effective

With quick and easy installation and maintenance, the Xgard series is able to keep costs at a minimum. The replacement sensors, for example, are simple to replace by merely plugging them in. The replacement parts are also readily available and compatible with all Xgard models, thereby reducing the amount of required spare parts that are stored in the facility. Additionally, the sensors have two times the typical life spans of similar sensors in the industry. With a 2 year life span, worksites can expect to cut their sensor replacement costs in half. For worksites that require slightly more customization, Crowcon offers compatible accessories for the Xgard series such as sampling applications, remote gassing applications, spray deflectors, sun shields, weatherproof caps, collector cones, flow adapter, and accessories adapter.

Xgard also has flexible installation options. The unit is designed for either wall or ceiling mounts, and users will not need to purchase additional equipment for mounting. For more complex installation needs, users can purchase accessories.

Each model is approximately the same size with dimensions of 6.1 x 6.5 x 4.3 inches and weighing approximately 1 or 2 pounds. GasAlertMicro 5 Series models

This multi-gas monitor series is available in several models: the standard toxic gas model, a PID model for detection of VOCs, or an IR model for CO2 detection. The unit accurately and reliably identifies up to five atmospheric hazards simultaneously and can rapidly switch from diffusion mode to the optional integrated pump.

Each model of GasAlertMicro 5 Series has several distinct features. With the GasAlertMicro 5 Series, the standard toxic gas model, users can monitor several standard gases with a plug in electrochemical cell sensor and catalytic cell sensor and a typical battery life of 20 hours (AA Alkaline rechargeable). The GasAlertMicro 5 PID is standard with several gas detections, a plug in electrochemical cell sensor and photoionization detector, and a battery life of approximately 15 hours (AA Alkaline rechargeable). Finally, the GasAlertMicro 5 IR features specific gas detection ranges, a plug in electrochemical cell sensor, a catalytic cell sensor, and an infrared sensor for carbon dioxide monitoring. This model also has a battery life of approximately 15 and AA Alkaline rechargeable batteries. The 35-3010RK series is a compact sample draw detector assembly with a built-in pump that accepts a 24VDC input. This unit features a NEMA 4X enclosure making it dust, water and corrosion resistant. It also features a flowmeter with adjustable flow and a low flow alarm which warns of any obstructions or restrictions in the flow system. Combustibles, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide versions are available in many different combinations. Combustibles and oxygen versions can be suplied with or without a 4-20 mA transmitter. The 35-3010RK series can also be configured with RKI's super toxic sensors offering a wide range of detectable toxic gases.

The 35-3010RK is capable of single person calibrations and can be installed up to 500 ft. from a controller, and can interface to any RKI or third party control system (utilizing a 4-20 mA feedback signal). This is a very cost effective way of monitoring for several gases that may be in the same place, and for applications where the sensors cannot be located directly in the area to be monitored. The pump is capable of drawing a sample up to 50' from the sample point.

Since worker safety is our business, Lumidor continually strives to improve its gas detector product line, and has done so with the addition of the voice message feature. Four languages (English, French, German and Spanish) are included with each monitor - just select the desired language. Every function, when activated, is accompanied with a voice message. Everything from immediate warnings to simple on and off functions are communicated verbally to the user. This feature is also very valuable in poorly lit situations. And, the language displayed on the new 4-line display is the same as the one selected for the voice.

The MicroMAX Pro combines diffusion and built-in internal sampling pump systems for simultaneously monitoring 1 - 5 gases. The popular internal pump allows for easy pre-testing in confined spaces and provides almost instantaneous readings of gas concentrations. In order to save power, the pump can be switched off and the diffusion mode will take over.

The MicroMAX Pro has preset and field selectable alarms. Both audible and visual alarms warn the user if the oxygen levels are either too low or enriched, combustible gas is present or toxic gas levels are too high. The toxic gas alarms can be easily adjusted in the field from immediate to TWA. And, alarms are also activated in case of sensor failure, low battery voltage, pump blockage or low air flow.

Our unique microprocessor design allows for self diagnostics with each start up. The MicroMAX Pro internally data logs individual channel alarms, TWA averaging and peak information. With a push of the Mode button you can review information, as well as customize user settings or initiate calibration.

All stored information is available for display, and meets OSHA documentation for employee awareness programs by simply downloading to a standard Windows™-compatible PC with Lumidor s MPRO-DATALOG software.
