The unit has a response time of up to 30 seconds for most gases, and features a double alarm of audible alerts at 85 dB and visual alerts of dual high intensity LEDs and a flashing display screen.

The display screen is an easy to read 4 x 20 LCD readout. The backlit display sits at the top of the unit for full visibility, and displays the readings and statuses of 4 channels simultaneously.

Tough and reliable

The Xgard series of fixed point gas detectors is incredibly durable and reliable. The replacement parts are also readily available and compatible with all Xgard models, thereby reducing the amount of required spare parts that are stored in the facility. Additionally, the sensors have two times the typical life spans of similar sensors in the industry. With a 2 year life span, worksites can expect to cut their sensor replacement costs in half. For worksites that require slightly more customization, Crowcon offers compatible accessories for the Xgard series such as sampling applications, remote gassing applications, spray deflectors, sun shields, weatherproof caps, collector cones, flow adapter, and accessories adapter.

Xgard also has flexible installation options. The unit is designed for either wall or ceiling mounts, and users will not need to purchase additional equipment for mounting. For more complex installation needs, users can purchase accessories.
