An innovative way to monitor dangerous gases in confined space. Simple and easy to read gives you outstanding protection.

If you have people working in a potentially volatile atmosphere, you need to keep constant watch on the gases in the air. The Honeywell BW™ Ultra makes monitoring very easy with its high-resolution screen. You have no delays so you can take action immediately to protect your crew.

Gas Detection on the Go

Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra is one of the toughest and most durable gas monitors on the market. You have a great deal of protection from dust ingress and moisture penetration (even in high-pressure spraying and total water submersion at 3.9 feet). It has a rating of IP66/68. Even if you accidentally abuse this unit, it can take a beating and keep on working. Works well in the dustiest and wettest of environments.

Ergonomic design is easy to use

You do not have to wear the Honeywell BW™ Ultra.

It is made for handheld operation as you check the safety of the atmosphere. This unit is one of the most comfortable detectors you can buy because it perfectly fits into the hand. The profile is nice and slim, and it does not weigh a lot. This is a good way to lessen the fatigue factor while increasing productivity.

It operates by just using a single button. This is the kind of experience Honeywell is famous for. Wearing your Honeywell BW™ Ultra is easy and perfect for working in confined areas. Because the pump is inside, your instrument stays in one position and moves when you move. No snagging or getting in the way.

5 Sensors are Better Than 4

Do you have more than one gas to monitor in an environment? Your Honeywell BW™ Ultra can sense these gases:

Oxygen
Hydrogen sulfide
Carbon monoxide
LEL – lower explosive limit levels

Maybe chlorine is a hazard where you work. Perhaps you have to watch conditions for sulfur dioxide levels. Are some of your workers around VOCs (volatile organic compounds)? You can choose a fifth selection for gas monitoring.

The Honeywell BW™ Ultra is a good choice for people working in water treatment facilities and chemical plants. Those in the marine and paper industries can also benefit because you have so many choices for gas monitoring.

Monitor possible dangerous situations in real-time for faster action when needed

Industrial businesses pay out a lot of money every year on safety issues like dangerous gases in the air. Often times, they spend more than they need to because they are not proactive with safety management.

With the help of equipment like the Honeywell BW™ Ultra, many volatile gas incidents can be avoided. It's user-friendly and simple to operate design makes it a breeze to use. In fact, you can keep someone just outside a dangerous area to monitor gases. This lets you take care of most issues before they become problems. It lowers work stress levels because your people know someone has their backs and they are safer and more productive.

Real-time remote monitoring for high risk workers

Just because the Honeywell BW™ Ultra is made for confined spaces doesn't mean you cannot use it anywhere. You only need the Honeywell Safety Communicator app to start taking important gas readings where needed, and this can be done remotely.

Do you need to monitor a high-risk area in a tight or small space? You can send vital readings via Bluetooth to your gas monitoring software from Honeywell. This info is easily accessed from control rooms or any remote location. This gives you an extra monitoring function in case of trouble or emergency issues.

Simple Design and Operation Simplifies Hole Watch

When you monitor vital gas readings where people are working you have their lives in your hands. There is no room for guesswork or using equipment which doesn't measure up to the task. Thanks to the Hole Watch function, your Honeywell BW™ Ultra can give you accurate and constant gas readings of a designated area. With Hole Watch you see all gas readings in real-time. For example, you also have a graph next to each gas so you can see immediate changes in concentrations. As soon as a hazardous gas gets close to dangerous levels, you can take the needed action to keep everyone safe from harm.

Only Honeywell lets You check gas levels as they happen

You can have the best people with the right kind of training, but if they have poorly designed gas monitoring equipment, they cannot do their jobs. They need the Honeywell BW™ Ultra.

Honeywell – setting the standard for sensor reliability

The 1-Series sensor was a product of a combined effort between Honeywell and City Technology, a worldwide producer of gas sensors for over four decades. This sensor came from the same technology that brought you the GasAlert detector with its 40XV oxygen sensor and the GasAlertMicroClip X3 with its 40xLL high quality sensor you can depend on this technology to give you the most accurate and dependable service.

Great Performance and no false alarms to worry about – even in high risk areas.

Our 1-Sensor is not large, but it is powerful.
This compact sensor delivers some of the most precise and accurate readings no matter what the ambient temperature is. For example, it performs just as well in extreme cold (-40C) as it does in very warm temperatures (60C). You get the same reliability even in the most extreme conditions.

Extended Sensor Life

Not all gas detectors can give you long service without interruption. In fact, some gas sensors wear out fast, and you have to replace them at the most inconvenient times. This costs money and valuable time on the job. When you buy the Honeywell BW™ Ultra, you can receive as much as 5 years (60 months) of service, and it comes with a full 3-year guarantee. This is the best way to maintain a lean and efficient operation without sacrificing quality.

Honeywell Technology – giving you The Honeywell BW™ Ultra for more uptime and lower costs: Bump Tests Made Simple

How often do you bump test your gas detectors? Do you need a docking station for the task? Many people do. However, with TouchConnect™ you do not need docking stations. It finds all your units in range and takes care of matters.

Do you have an entire fleet of Detectors to look after?

TouchConnect™ can do more than just Bump tests. Suppose you want to update your set points for dangerous gas level alarms. This is done automatically when you use the TouchConnect™ device.

How many detectors are in your fleet? The larger the fleet, the easier it is when you have TouchConnect™.
No docking station needed. Just send TouchConnect™ where you need it, and it handles the updating task thanks to its Bluetooth capabilities.

Are you monitoring many gases at once?

Some confined spaces have multiple risks due to a combination of dangerous gases. This is where the Honeywell BW™ Ultra is very handy. You can set it up to handle a wide range of gases like LEL, CO, H2S, and O2. But this is not all. You have the option of monitoring a fifth dangerous gas. For instance:

SO2 (Sulfur Dioxide)

NH3 (Ammonia)

CL2 (Chlorine)

VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)

CO2 (Carbon Dioxide)

NO2 (Nitrogen Dioxide)

HCN (Hydrogen Cyanide)

Inert Atmospheres Solutions

72-2120-401-3K Digester Gas Monitor, 100% Volume CH4 / 25% Volume O2/50% Volume CO2/3,000 ppm H2S by RKI Instruments

RKI is proud to introduce our Digester Gas Monitor. Gas from waste digesters contains high levels of methane, CO2, and H2S, with little to no oxygen present. The RKI gas monitor checks for all these gases on a cyclic basis. A powerful air aspirator draws a sample from up to 100 feet away. Since digester gas contains high humidity and high H2S, both of which can cause damage to sampling systems, the RKI Digester Gas Monitor is designed to handle these with no damage to the sampling system or sensors. The sample is passed through a series of dirt, dust, and moisture stopping filters, and these filters are automatically purged with fresh air at the end of each cycle.

Measurement time is just 4 minutes, taken at periodic cycles. Cycle time is selectable, with settings for cycle time of 15 minute, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours. A cycle can also be initiated anytime by pressing a button. After each cycle, the sensors and sampling system are flushed with fresh air so as to minimize corrosion caused by the high H2S content. The system is fault tolerant minimizing the possibility of expensive repairs or downtime.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a fail alarm and relay if there is ever a problem with the flow system, such as a blockage, or if the air aspirator compressed air supply is removed or interrupted.

The system is housed in a wall mounting NEMA 4X enclosure. The gas readings can be viewed through the enclosure door clear window. Flow meters and filters are easily visible for confirmation of correct flows and operation. The RKI Digester Gas Monitor contains adjustable alarm levels for each gas, and also programmable alarm relays. In addition, the unit provides 4-20mA signals for each gas concentration for connection to an external DCS, PLC, or other site control system. A Modbus output is also available. The outputs are the readings received from the last cycle taken.

Features:

• Corrosion resistant design; Housing designed for extreme environments; Internal construction for extreme samples; Flow system designed to handle corrosive wet samples
• Sample system designed to handle high humidity
• Accurately measures gases with high levels of H2S present
• 100 ft. sample range
