RKI "S" Series Explosion Proof Gas Sensor and Transmitter Features

The transmitter is a reliable and durable solution for onsite hazards. True to its reputation, RKI Instruments designed this series with user friendly features to meet growing customer demands. This series features an explosion proof housing, patented water repellant sensor coating, long life sensors (2+ years of typical life), and an intrinsically safe rating. The unit operates independently of a controller and is available for LEL, H2S, CO, O2, and ppm HC monitoring. Infrared sensors are also available for LEL and CO2.

To protect the circuitry, the electronics are enclosed inside a potted package. This helps to reduce wear and tear due to corrosion and abuse. The amplifier is situated inside an aluminum explosion proof enclosure. Additionally, all sensors are explosion proof with flame arrestors. The flame arrestors use a patented water repellant coating. They are approved for use in hazardous atmospheres.

The IAM-100 Gas Monitor from Bacharach offers exceptional continuos monitoring performance and flexibility at an economical price. By itself, or integrated into a comprehensive detection system, the IAM-100 is a scalable solution for detecting a variety of refrigerants, combustible gases and VOC gas leaks at the lowest possible cost.

Onboard LEDs illuminate when the sensor is in an alarm state while the unit's audible alarm alerts personnel in the area that levels have exceeded the desired limit. The audible alarm can be muted with the onboard silence switch. Integrated dual relays enable the IAM-100 to shut-off refrigerant or propane supply lines while the second relay can be used as a connection to a building BMS or BAS system.

The IAM-100 is an alarm threshold device. When the range of the sensor is exceeded, the detector will go into alarm. For example, a unit with a 1,000 ppm R-410a sensor will activate its alarm when the detected refrigerant meets or exceeds 1,000 ppm.

The GX-3R Pro is the world's smallest 5-gas monitor weighing only 4.58 ounces and fits in the palm of your hand (2.9" W x 2.6" H x 1.06" D). It simultaneously monitors and displays 5 different gases. In addition to monitoring standard confined space gases, LEL, O₂, CO, & H₂S, the GX-3R Pro has a 5th channel where you can add infrared or toxic sensors. Two of the four sensor slots have interchangeable sensors providing flexible configurations, which can easily be changed in the field.

The GX-3R Pro comes equipped with Bluetooth wireless communication, man-down alarm, the choice of alkaline or rechargeable power supply, and a 3 year warranty. The Lithium-ion battery pack will operate for 25 hours and will fully charge in 3 hours.

Bacharach's all new GDC-350 full-featured fixed gas monitors provide superior operation - standalone or as part of a larger system utilizing the standard analog outputs. This state-of-the-art instrument can detect a wide range of gases including carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), combustible gases, refrigerants and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). The GDC-350 provides a unique two sensor interface, allowing for multiple gases to be detected with onboard or remote sensors.
