Each model of GasAlertMicro 5 Series has several distinct features. With the GasAlertMicro 5 Series, the standard toxic gas model, users can monitor several standard gases with a plug in electrochemical cell sensor and catalytic cell sensor and a typical battery life of 20 hours (AA Alkaline rechargeable). The GasAlertMicro 5 PID is standard with several gas detections, a plug in electrochemical cell sensor and photoionization detector, and a battery life of approximately 15 hours (AA Alkaline rechargeable). Finally, the GasAlertMicro 5 IR features specific gas detection ranges, a plug in electrochemical cell sensor, a catalytic cell sensor, and an infrared sensor for carbon dioxide monitoring. Preset Flow Regulator

The 500 Series regulators are single-stage, piston-style, regulators designed to deliver a preset flow of non-reactive and low-level reactive (less than 100 PPM)* gas mixtures from 58 liter and 103 liter non-refillable cylinders having a 5/8 -18 UNF (C-10) inlet connection.

*Low-level reactive gases slowly react with the wetted brass parts of the 500 Series regulators. In order to minimize loss of calibration accuracy, the regulator must be removed from the cylinder after each use. Norlab s 6000 Series regulator is recommended for extended use with reactive calibration gas mixtures.

To protect the integrity of the device and the configurations, the unit can be password protected. The Eagle 2 also has standard data logging capabilities for easy research, evaluation, and site monitoring. The Eagle 2 is heavily protected from environmental conditions by a weather proof, chemical resistant RFI/EMI coated high impact polycarbonate/PBT blend enclosure.
