Single or dual sensor system is designed to monitor gas atmospheres from extreme conditions with either temperature, moisture, or pressure challenges. A powerful air aspirator can pull a sample from up to 100 feet away. The filtered and conditioned sample gas is then passed across one or two different detectors. Each detector shares a common calibration and compressed air inlet for aspirated flow. This system is fault tolerant removing the need for expensive downtime and maintenance. The sample is diluted with air after the gas sensor and then returned to a common exhaust reducing the danger of potential hazardous gases entering a safe work space.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a NO contact that activates if the sample line becomes blocked or damaged or if the air supply is removed or interrupted.

The panel can be used with direct-connect (sensors connected to an RKI controller), or with S2 Series, and M2 Series transmitters. All transmitters have a 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to the site DCS, PLC or site control system. The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor by RKI Instruments is a top of the line gas detection system that clips easily into place on a belt, pocket, helmet, or shirt. Its sensor detects the presence of four gases (oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gas) and immediately alerts the user and those nearby. The device is small enough to be highly portable and is available at a very affordable price.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor is available in four different models, each of which have been deemed safe for workplace use by CSA to U.S. and Canadian Standards for Class I, Division I, Groups A, B, C, and D atmospheres.

Triple Alarm System

When potentially hazardous atmospheric conditions have been detected, the Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor will activate its triple alarm system. The triple alarm is designed to alert the user and everyone within the vicinity. Once the alarm is activated, the backlight will turn on, the LED lights will flash, the audible alert will initiative, and the device will being to vibrate. The triple system is designed to be noticeable during a variety of working conditions when a user may not have full use of senses.

In addition to hazardous atmospheric conditions, the device will alert users when the battery is low, the sensors are malfunctioning, and more.

Specifications

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor has a response time of 20 seconds for oxygen levels and 30 seconds for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gas. The unit is powered by alkaline dry cell batteries (2 AAA batteries) with a battery life of over 3,000 hours (except model GP-01 which has a battery life of 16 hours). The unit is also equipped with a Peak hold function and STEL & TWA function. Its pocket size dimensions (1.4 W x 4.1 H x 0.8 D) and light weight (3.5 ounces) renders the device highly portable.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor is compatible with a number of accessories that help to customize the unit to meet a specific workplace's needs. The unit comes standard with rubber protective boots, alkaline batteries, belt clip or alligator clip, and wrist strap. The careful inspection of flanged, threaded and soldered connections before and after installation will ensure equipment and worker safety. Clear and simple displays and warnings

Changing gas concentrations are indicated audibly and visually. The frequency of the audible warning rises with gas concentrations, allowing the user to pinpoint leaks. The bar graph display will warn the user if dangerous gas concentrations arise.

Light, compact and durable

Designed for one-handed operation, the G300 reacts to concentrations as small as 5 ppm and measures up to more than 10,000 ppm or 1% volume. The sensor is located at the end of a flexible gooseneck or a helix cable to allow the user to reach difficult or unreachable locations. The G300 is available with or without explosion protection for ammonia and combustible gases. The G311 operates on four "AA" alkaline batteries. All others have a rechargeable battery with run times of more than eight hours.

The all new GDC-150 transmitter from Bacharach offers detection and protection for a wide range of hazards including toxic gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen depletion, combustible gases, refrigerant leaks and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). Analog interfaces allow the transmitter to be connected back to Bacharach's GDA Series of controllers (or any other gas detection controller), building management systems or control systems. The GDC-150 features 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC linear output signals, an automatic thermal resetting fuse, RoHS compliant circuit boards and LED indicators for power and open loop.

The onboard alarm LED's indicate when alarm threshold values are exceeded. The unit can be ordered with an optional alpha numeric LED display that shows gas concentrations in real time while alarm relays alert personnel of potential dangers, avoiding incidents and potential hazards.

The GDC-150 is packaged in a rugged, polycarbonate housing for both indoor and outdoor applications. When leaks occur, the GDC-150 sensors respond quickly and accurately to protect people and property. Continuing in its legacy of durable and reliable gas detection and monitoring systems, RKI Instruments is proud to offer a new product in its popular Eagle portable gas detector series. The Eagle 2 can monitor up to 6 different gases and is equipped with several exclusive features that can only be found with the Eagle series. Specialty Sensors

Exclusive Features

The monitor has a long internal pump that can draw samples for up to 125 feet. The pump features a low flow auto shut off and alarm. This allows operators to respond swiftly from a safe distance. The unit is multilingual with 5 different language preferences, and features an alkaline battery life of 18 hours or a NiMH life of 20 hours. To protect the integrity of the device and the configurations, the unit can be password protected. The Eagle 2 also has standard data logging capabilities for easy research, evaluation, and site monitoring. To reduce calibration costs and time, the unit features an automatic calibration option and a single gas calibration option.

The Eagle 2 is heavily protected from environmental conditions by a weather proof, chemical resistant RFI/EMI coated high impact polycarbonate/PBT blend enclosure.
