The SamplerPak

BW's SamplerPak is an easy, cost-efficient external motorized sampling pump designed for compatibility with any BW single or multi gas detectors. Users need only to attach the sampling pump to the detector for atmospheric sampling. The SamplerPak allows users to remotely sample the air quality in any given space. This can be especially useful for confined spaces or pre-entry tests.

The unit's high compatibility and customizable design is a standard feature of many BW Technologies products. The SamplerPak is easy to connect to any BW Technologies' single or multi gas detection system. In addition to any gas detection system, an external motorized sampling pump with remote sampling capabilities can provide safety and worksite managers with additional information they may need to determine the hazard level of any given environment. Please note that the SamplerPak is not a gas detector.

SamplerPak features

The Sampler Pak has many unique features that are exclusive to BW products. Each unit features a manual flow block test at start-up to validate operation, and leak tests to ensure effective draw. The unit also has built in water traps and a filtration system. Users can manually monitor water traps and filters. The SamplerPak is also capable of providing personal samplings or remote samplings. The time-tested sampling pump is available with a variety of models, accessories, and options to fit the unique needs of any workplace.

Options and accessories

As with most customizable products by BW Technologies, the SamplerPak offers optional accessories. Users may purchase a confined space kit, extra long probes, a battery charger, a sampling flat, and collapsible sampling probes. The unit can be powered by either AA alkaline batteries or AA NIMH rechargeable batteries. Both battery options provide approximately 30 hours of battery life. These options and accessories allow the basic sampling device to maintain its cost effectiveness while offering optional services to those in need.

Specifications

The SamplerPak weighs approximately 6.2 ounces and is designed to be lightweight and highly mobile. Measuring approximately 7 inches by 1 inch by 2 inches, the unit can easily fit into tight spaces and pockets. The Sampler Pak is equipped with visual and audible alarms of over 90 decibels, and will notify those nearby of system failures, low battery, or low airflow. Sample flow rate is 300 milliliters per minute and a sample distance of 50 feet. The typical delay time is approximately 3 seconds per 1 foot. The SamplerPak is purchased standard with a 2 year warranty.

64032 PS200 3-Gas Personal Safety Monitor - LEL/O2/CO, Non-Pumped by GMI

The PS200 is a rugged, easy to use portable multi-gas detector ideal for use in confined spaces and hotworks. Both lightweight and durable the instrument monitors and displays up to four hazardous gas conditions simultaneously using catalytic bead sensor technology for a wide range of combustible gases, and electrochemical sensors for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and oxygen deficiency. Operator interface and calibration are intuitive and easy by toggling between simple one-button functions. During hazardous conditions users are alerted via three alarm functions: vibration, red flashing LEDs, and audible buzzer. To ensure the highest level of personal safety, the PS200 is also fitted with an optional man down/motion sensor that activates alarms if the instrument is not moved at a pre-set time. The instrument is also fitted with an optional built in remote sampling pump making it ideal for use in confined spaces. The PS200 features a screen backlight that can be manually switched on in poor lighting conditions. Additional features include: customized user identification code setup, calibration due date display, and standard data logging that can be downloaded to a docking station via USB connection to a computer. Also available is a auto bump and cal station, 5-way charger and PC data logging software.

Rugged, Reliable, and Flexible

The detector models are constructed to withstand the abuse of hazardous work environments. The TXgard and Flamgard Plus detectors use marine grade aluminum with a stainless steel sensor housing to ensure the safety and integrity of the equipment. The TXgard-IS+ is constructed of carbon-loaded nylon. The models also feature flexible output options including 2 or 3 wire formats, optional relays for alarm and fault, and 4-20mA current sink or source. Crowcon also has a wide variety of catalytic and electrochemical gas sensors to fit these models (currently offering more than 25 individual gas sensors).

Flamgard Plus and TXgardPlus Specifications

The Flamgard Plus and TXgard Plus models are similar in size (200 x 115 x 115 mm) and weight (2.2 kilograms). However, the Flamgard Plus utilizes a catalytic bead sensor and the TXgard Plus utilizes an electrochemical sensor. Both feature an ingress protection with an IP66 weatherproof cap and 2 x M20 x ½ NPT cable entries. These models feature optional relays of SPNO or SPNC contacts rated 30 Vdc 1A (non-inductive load) for Alarm 1 and fault for Alarm 2.

For easy reading, these models have a 3 digit backlit display with and LED status indicator. The magnetically operated buttons control the calibration method and the terminals are suited for up to 1.5 mm2 cable. Both models are suited for usage in hazardous zones 1 and 2.

TXgard IS+ and Specs

The TXgard IS+ is slightly smaller than the other two models and houses an electrochemical sensor type. It is approximately 160 x 123 x 92 mm in size and .7 kilograms in weight. This unit also features an IP66 weatherproof cap for ingress protection. The display is slightly smaller than the other two models, and offers a 2 line 16 character LCD screen. The calibration method is operated via front mounted push buttons, and its terminals are suited for up to 2.5 mm2 cables. This model is appropriate for hazardous zones 0, 1, and 2, and when connected via an isolation device, the TXgard IS+ is suited for hazardous zones 20, 21, and 22.

The 35-3010RK series is a compact sample draw detector assembly with a built-in pump that accepts a 24VDC input. This unit features a NEMA 4X enclosure making it dust, water and corrosion resistant. It also features a flowmeter with adjustable flow and a low flow alarm which warns of any obstructions or restrictions in the flow system. Combustibles, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide versions are available in many different combinations. Combustibles and oxygen versions can be suplied with or without a 4-20 mA transmitter. The 35-3010RK series can also be configured with RKI's super toxic sensors offering a wide range of detectable toxic gases.

The 35-3010RK is capable of single person calibrations and can be installed up to 500 ft. from a controller, and can interface to any RKI or third party control system (utilizing a 4-20 mA feedback signal). This is a very cost effective way of monitoring for several gases that may be in the same place, and for applications where the sensors cannot be located directly in the area to be monitored. The pump is capable of drawing a sample up to 50' from the sample point.
