TDS/Conductivity instruments and sensors must be calibrated together. For a single-point calibration, select the one solution that approximates the expected conductivity or ppm level of total salts. Mixed Salt standards are the most frequently used in the field to sample naturally occurring water sources, boiler feed water, or cooling tower water. Typical river water, well water, or lake water sample will contain a mixture of several different salts. Sensorex Mixed Salt standards simulate a "Natural" mixture of common salt compounds found in these sources. Sodium sulfate, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium chloride salts are blended to provide a representative value. There are certain applications where Single Salt Solutions are preferred. NaCl Solution is routinely used to calibrate instruments measuring Sea Water or brackish water samples. Reagent grade salt and high resistivity DI water is compounded for accurate results. KCI Single Salt Solution may be used with conductivity meters that read directly in Siemens or Ohms. S645CD-ORP pH Sensor, Flat, CPVC, Side Stream by Sensorex

Side stream mountings are particularly useful in applications involving oily coating or moderately viscous materials. This mounting hardware allows the velocity past the electrode to be controlled in a predictable manner. In the 3/4 inch flow cell, restricted 1/4 inch flow channel, each GPM of flow provides two ft/sec past the flat electrode's sensing surface. Flow rates of three to five GPM provide adequate cleaning velocities. Exact control of flow rates is not required.

In viscous material applications the above flow rates may be difficult to achieve; however, lower rates still provide flow in shear to assure that fresh material is at the measuring surface.

FCL505-MB2 Free Chlorine Sensor, 0-5 ppm MB 485 24V by Sensorex

The FCL series (free chlorine sensors) feature amperometric measurement technology. Designed for disinfection applications in water treatment, for pools, etc., these sensors are available in three ranges for detecting ppm level of free chlorine. Choose the FCL502 for 0-2ppm, FCL505 for 0-5ppm and FCL510 for 0-10ppm of free chlorine.

S675TC/CSTM Insertion Assembly by Sensorex

Without the need for system shutdown for electrode maintenance, the insertion assembly allows pH measurements to be made in pressurized tanks and main lines. The assembly's adjustable insertion depth allows it to be placed in a turbulent flow region, enabling it to operate in the selfcleaning mode.

In abrasive applications, the electrode is best positioned flush with the pipe wall or tank wall. High suspended solids and viscous liquid pH measurements are simple with the insertion assembly and electrode pair. The specially designed internal makes the electrode mountable in virtually any direction, including inverted. A 1" full-port ball-valve (Sensorex BV-1) is recommended for installation.

New part number S656CD has four protective pads to reduce pH glass breakage. The S656CD replaces the 970283 which is now obsolete. In addition to the protective pad feature, the S656CD also includes our high performance acrylamide gel that provides longer life in many applications.
