The Hydrosense Legionella Direct Test Kit is the fastest and the simplest test in the Hydrosense product range as it has no filtration step. It provides a sensitivity of 100,000CFU/L. It requires no sample preparation and can be used to test the water collected from any source. Because of the lower sensitivity, this kit is not recommended for applications where an action point below 100,000 CFU/L is required.

This test kit is used to detect the presence of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 bacteria in cooling water systems, domestic hot/cold water and whirlpool spas. The test operates via a Lateral Flow Immunochromatographic Assay (LFICA).

Each kit contains all the supplies required to perform ten tests.

The Hydrosense Swab Test Kit is intended for sampling surface biofilms. Instead of testing a water source you simply swab the area to obtain the biofilm sample.

Legionella grows in biofilms, therefore testing the surface of shower heads, air conditioning units, water tanks, taps, spa pools etc. while paying particular attention to any biofilm deposits, gives a very accurate picture of the condition of your water system. This kit is also very useful for locating the source of infection, which often will be within biofilms. The sensitivity of the kit is 200 CFU/swabbed area.

The Single Syringe Test Kit is very flexible and highly sensitive. It detects Legionella at concentrations as low as 100 CFU/L. The Kit is very easy to use and allows water testing from any source such as domestic and industrial hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, decorative fountains, hot tubs and pools, sinks and showers, misters, sprinklers, air washers, humidifiers and others.

Because of its high sensitivity, it is recommended for higher risk industries and applications such as healthcare, hospitality, cooling towers, spa pools and others.

The Industrial Test Kit includes a sample collection point that easily installs into a standard plumbing fitting (US ½inch NPT and ¾ inch BPT fittings). The sample point can be left in-situ for convenient repeated tests. The Industrial Kit is highly sensitive thanks to the filtration step with a sensitivity of 100 CFU/L. Includes 5 tests.

The sample point supplied allows water samples to be easily obtained from plumbing connections provided in installations including industrial cooling towers, large water systems in hotels, residential and commercial properties. The pipe fitting also connects directly to a standard shower hose for convenient shower sampling.
