Rugged, Reliable, and Flexible

The detector models are constructed to withstand the abuse of hazardous work environments. The TXgard and Flamgard Plus detectors use marine grade aluminum with a stainless steel sensor housing to ensure the safety and integrity of the equipment. The TXgard-IS+ is constructed of carbon-loaded nylon. The models also feature flexible output options including 2 or 3 wire formats, optional relays for alarm and fault, and 4-20mA current sink or source. Crowcon also has a wide variety of catalytic and electrochemical gas sensors to fit these models (currently offering more than 25 individual gas sensors).

Flamgard Plus and TXgardPlus Specifications

The Flamgard Plus and TXgard Plus models are similar in size (200 x 115 x 115 mm) and weight (2.2 kilograms). However, the Flamgard Plus utilizes a catalytic bead sensor and the TXgard Plus utilizes an electrochemical sensor. Both feature an ingress protection with an IP66 weatherproof cap and 2 x M20 x ½ NPT cable entries. These models feature optional relays of SPNO or SPNC contacts rated 30 Vdc 1A (non-inductive load) for Alarm 1 and fault for Alarm 2.

For easy reading, these models have a 3 digit backlit display with and LED status indicator. The magnetically operated buttons control the calibration method and the terminals are suited for up to 1.5 mm2 cable. Both models are suited for usage in hazardous zones 1 and 2.

TXgard IS+ and Specs

The TXgard IS+ is slightly smaller than the other two models and houses an electrochemical sensor type. It is approximately 160 x 123 x 92 mm in size and .7 kilograms in weight. This unit also features an IP66 weatherproof cap for ingress protection. The display is slightly smaller than the other two models, and offers a 2 line 16 character LCD screen. The calibration method is operated via front mounted push buttons, and its terminals are suited for up to 2.5 mm2 cables. This model is appropriate for hazardous zones 0, 1, and 2, and when connected via an isolation device, the TXgard IS+ is suited for hazardous zones 20, 21, and 22.

The charge carrier injection (CI 21) sensor is a progressive development to improve upon current ammonia refrigeration detection methods. With CI 21 technology sensor life is no longer limited to ammonia exposure levels. This reduces replacement costs associated with electrochemical sensors.

Charge carrier injection technology also eliminates false alarms frequently associated with metal oxide sensing (MOS). These, along with other features, provide reliable, cost effective, longterm safety.

The UNI MP100 offers a simple, personal protection for a wide array of toxic gas and oxygen (O2) measurement applications. The RKI direct connect series gas sensors are highly reliable and very cost effective for the detection of common gas hazards. The direct connect series are available for LEL, Oxygen, H2S, and CO for a variety of RKI's controllers. All sensors are explosion-proof with flame arrestors, and approved for use in hazardous locations.

The tri-sensor head can be used either indoors or outdoors. The flame arrestors for the explosion-proof versions utilize a patented coating which make them water repellent. Also, splash guards are available for use in very wet environments.

The unique tri-sensor design integrates 3 sensors into one explosion proof housing. This results in significant savings with installation and wiring cost versus traditional single sensor enclosures. Only one conduit needs to be run to the sensors.

The tri-sensor head is designed to exclusively interface with the RKI Beacon 410 controller. This 3 sensor head, used with the Beacon 410, is especially well suited for wastewater applications.

The GX-2001 is the smallest 4-gas monitor in the world and now it is available with a compact battery operated sample-drawing pump that attaches in line for remote, portable monitoring. Together the model RP-6 sample drawing pump and the GX-2001 make a complete solution for confined space entry situations.

The RP-6 pump is housed in a rugged plastic case with quick connect fittings located on both ends of the unit. It is sold with either a 4 rubber nipple or with a 10' hose and probe. When buying the RP-6 with the 10' hose and probe, the probe is equipped with a dust filter and the 10' hose connects at the RP-6's quick connect inlet fitting. The inlet fitting of the RP-6 then connects to a removable clear plastic cup, which is a filter holder. This filter holder contains a dust and hydrophobic filter inside. The exhaust fitting of the RP-6, which is also a quick connect, connects to a coiled hose, which brings the sample to the GX-2001. The RP-6 will run for 5 hours from just 1 AA alkaline battery.

A rotating, ON/OFF switch is located near the inlet end of the RP-6. When the ON/OFF switch is on, the green power LED is illuminated. If a low flow condition occurs, the RP-6 will go into low flow alarm with a red flashing LED. For additional versatility, the RP-6 is also available for use with our model GX-94 portable gas monitor.

Features

The Eagle One to Six Gas Portable Monitor is available with a wide variety of exclusive features.
