The RKI direct connect series gas sensors are highly reliable and very cost effective for the detection of common gas hazards. The direct connect series are available for LEL, Oxygen, H2S, and CO for a variety of RKI's controllers. All sensors are explosion-proof with flame arrestors, and approved for use in hazardous locations.

The tri-sensor head can be used either indoors or outdoors. The flame arrestors for the explosion-proof versions utilize a patented coating which make them water repellent. Also, splash guards are available for use in very wet environments.

The unique tri-sensor design integrates 3 sensors into one explosion proof housing. This results in significant savings with installation and wiring cost versus traditional single sensor enclosures. Only one conduit needs to be run to the sensors.

The tri-sensor head is designed to exclusively interface with the RKI Beacon 410 controller. This 3 sensor head, used with the Beacon 410, is especially well suited for wastewater applications.

Also available in a two or four sensor version, with sensors for LEL, Oxygen, H2S, and CO available.

Sensepoint XCD

With the Sensepoint XCD detection system, Honeywell provides easy to use, low maintenance sensory devices for monitoring explosive atmospheric conditions in a variety of industrial settings. The Sensepoint XCD system monitors for explosive oxygen gas, toxic gas, and flammable conditions and constantly relays status through transmitters utilizing a simply traffic light LCD system which can be easily seen and understood from a distance.

The unit is available in both stainless steel and aluminum housing options, both of which are resistant to explosions. The XCD transmitter systems are for three separate environmental conditions (flammable, toxic, and oxygen). Each transmitter has a variety of sensors available for use. Each transmitter will automatically recognize the sensor within its category. The plug-in design of the sensors allows users to simply plug the sensor into the transmitter. The transmitter will automatically adjust and configure for the appropriate sensor settings.

Bacharach's new MGS-250 Infrared Refrigerant Gas Transmitter is the leader in performance and flexibility at an economical price. There are two versions available - a cost-effective broadband sensor used for gross leak detection or gas-particular versions that are even more distinct, pre-calibrated and characterized for response to specific refrigerants. Its simple-to-use interface gives the user the ability to set all parameters and outputs without opening the unit, moving jumpers, using mulitmeters or adjusting potentiometers.

The MGS-250 family is a cost effective solution for detecting a variety of refrigerants without the limitations posed by solid-state sensor technologies. The long-life, proprietary NDIR infrared sensor allows for accurate low-level leak detection (0-3,500 ppm), delivering up to 5-7 years of maintenance-free operation without the need for costly annual gas calibrations. Infrared sensing technology makes the MGS-250 immune to cross sensitivities to combustible and toxic gas as well as changes in temperature and humidity. The unit has an alpha-numeric LED display to show constant real-time readings, an on-board LED indicator for when the sensor is in an alarm state, and an audible alarm to alert personnel in the area that levels have exceeded the desired limit.
