E3Point is capable of detecting the widest range of toxic and combustible gases found in commercial building spaces and outbuildings, including CO, NO2, O2, H2, H2S, CH4 and C3H8. It can be used as a standalone unit with single or dual-gas detection (i.e. using a remote sensor) or deployed as a networkable device (interoperable with BACnet, Modbus or other Building Automation System): E3Point also functions with existing controller-based gas monitoring systems and wired-wireless gas monitoring system components.

E3Point uses Demand Control Ventilation—through relays, Building Automation System (BAS) or controller—to increase energy savings, extend fan life and align with green building best practices. In its network configuration, E3Point also optimizes HVAC, fire/smoke, surveillance and other building systems performance.

Intelligent product design reduces the unit's cost of ownership while increasing flexibility of application. The Sensepoint range of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas detectors offer users a high quality, low cost solution to their industrial gas monitoring needs. Installation in potentially explosive atmospheres is made by the use of a suitable Ex d or Ex e approved junction box. The industry standard outputs from Sensepoint are connected to either a choice of Honeywell Analytics' controllers or 3rd party DCS/ PLC systems. Both flammable and toxic versions are certified to the latest ATEX/IECEx safety and performance standards.

The flammable detector is available in either % LEL or PPM detection range versions and provides an industry standard mV bridge output. Typical life expectancy is greater than 5 years, after which the detector is simply replaced with a new one.

The toxic detectors are supplied pre calibrated for easy installation and provide an industry standard 2 wire 4-20mA loop output. User connections are Ex d, while front end Intrinsic Safety (IS) design allows for easy exchange of the replaceable sensor while powered. The CS 21 transmitter uses the proven chemosorption detection principle for detection of toxic gases, vapors and combustibles. The rapid response of the transmitter provides opportunity to take counter measures and thereby limit damages. The long life of the sensors makes the CS 21 a low-cost solution for your detection needs. A transmitter can be continuously operated for more than 5 years.

Wall mount installation is straightforward. The distance between transmitter and controller can be greater than 500 m. A rugged aluminum casing protects the sensor and electronics from splashes of water and dirt. The transmitter must not be operated in EX-areas. For measurement of combustible gases in the LEL range the gas needs to be sampled by pump. In this case the EX-protection needs to be guaranteed with suitable external components (e.g.flame-protection).
