The hot wire probe is equipped with a telescope, which can be extended to a maximum length of 1.0 m. The immersion depth is easy to read, even if visibility is poor, thanks to the high-contrast scaling.

The clearly structured measurement menu for volume flow enables the measuring instrument to be operated intuitively. The volume flow is precisely calculated thanks to convenient input of the size and geometry of the duct cross-section. Wall mount installation is straightforward. The distance between transmitter and controller can be greater than 500 m. RKI Instrument's model SD-1 Series smart combustible gas, toxic gas, oxygen, and organic vapor detector/transmitter is a robust and reliable explosion proof design for detecting LEL and ppm levels of hazardous atmospheres. In addition to measuring the common %LEL levels of methane, hexane and isobutane, for example, the SD-1 Series also has the capability of measuring a wide variety of toxic organic compounds in a PPM range such as acrylonitrile, ethylene oxide, n-methyl pyrolidone, methylene chloride and many others. Use the turbulence probe with the compatible testo multifunction measuring instrument (please order separately) to measure air velocity and air temperature. Calculate the degree of turbulence and draught risk at the same time, in accordance with EN ISO 7730 / ASHRAE 55.

Turbulence probe - features

Use the fixed cable to connect the turbulence probe to the measuring instrument (please order separately). The clearly structured measurement menu for degree of turbulence makes it intuitive to operate. Air velocity and draught risk are therefore determined with reliability according to EN ISO 7730 / ASHRAE 55. To ensure accurate measurement results, air density compensation is carried out via the integrated absolute pressure measurement.

For convenient measurements at varying heights, we recommend using our measuring tripod for comfort level measurement (please order separately). This makes it very easy to position turbulence probes in compliance with the standards.

Intelligent calibration concept

You will get exceptionally accurate measurement results with the digital probe, because the measuring instrument makes measurement uncertainty a thing of the past. You only need to send the probe in for calibration - so the measuring instrument remains in continuous use.
