Automatic temperature monitoring in refrigerators: reliable and simple

The testo Saveris 2 WiFi data logger system enables temperature monitoring to run automatically: you do not need to note down any min./max. values, read out data loggers or sort the measurement data then save them. All the measurement data are transmitted wirelessly to the Testo Cloud and automatically archived there. You can access them at any time with your PC, smartphone or tablet, in order to check the values or to provide proof to auditors. Thanks to access to an API interface, you can export the measurement data to your system.

Set advantage: ideal equipment for use in refrigerators

This testo Saveris 2 set gives you the advantage of being designed specifically for use in refrigerators. In addition to the WiFi data logger (and access to the Testo Cloud), you get two temperature probes with a special ribbon cable which it is really easy to push through the refrigerator sealing. (This means the probe remains inside the refrigerator and the WiFi data logger outside.)

The set also includes two flasks for filling with a suitable temperature buffer. As soon as the temperature probe is immersed in the filled flask, the temperature buffer insulates the temperature probe and slows its response time. This makes sense in order to avoid false alarms when monitoring temperature in refrigerators. Short-term temperature peaks (for example due to doors being opened) are of no consequence. The temperature measured corresponds to the actual temperature of the stored goods. Propylene glycol is for instance suitable for temperature monitoring in refrigerators; ethylene glycol is recommended for applications in freezers below -20 °C.

Saveris 2 stub probe for measurement of ambient air temperature and relative humidity in open spaces or walk-in coolers. The humidity/temperature probe plugs to the port at the bottom of the logger. The Saveris H2 DIN plug port also accepts flexible cable temperature/humidity probe 0572 6172, for insertion to environmental chambers, incubators, or air ducts.

The humidity sensor for measuring relative humidity is designed to provide long term stability. It is condensation resistant and can be calibrated with traceable NIST certification.

0572 2152 Door Contact Connecting Cable, Mini DIN Plug for Saveris 2-T2 by Testo

Your data logger records temperature fluctuations in a freezer or refrigerator. Is it possible that the door has not been closed properly?

The door contact connection cable means you can connect your appropriate data logger with a standard door contact (neither are included in the scope of delivery). In this way, the opening or closing of doors can be recorded, for example in refrigerators, deep-freeze rooms or chest freezers. The data logger triggers an alarm if required.

The door contact connection cable helps you to determine whether the refrigerator door may not have been closed (in good time). Because possible connections between temperature changes and the opening of the door can easily be detected in the data analysis.

Normally, it is difficult to hide the data logger inside the display cabinet. The testo digital temperature / humidity probe (1.5" x 0.63" / 36 x 16 mm) can be hidden within the case base showing only a small paintable vent cap and the bushing's collar. The data from the probe transfer to the Wi-Fi logger over a thin 1.7 ft. / 0.6 m or an 8.2 ft. / 2.5 m extension cable. The maximum length of combined extension cables is 32.8 ft. / 10 meters.

Applications for the temperature and humidity probe

The temperature and humidity probe is ideal for use in museums, galleries and other exhibit application. Use the high-precision temperature and humidity probe (with external data logger) to measure the temperature and relative humidity in display cabinets. The supplied base plate bushing with an O-ring prevents leakage of external air. The IAQ data logger is an autonomous measuring unit for long-term measurements with the testo 400. The universal IAQ instrument is used for programming measuring interval and time. During the measurement, the IAQ data logger works independently from the measuring instrument. In the meantime, the testo 400 can be used for measurements elsewhere. Once the IAQ measurement is completed, you can read out, analyze and document all the saved values with the testo 400.
