The GX-2009 Model Personal Four Gas Monitor is an obvious choice for many particularly hazardous applications. Its noticeable alarm functions and simultaneous detection of four separate gases help to ensure the safety of workers in potentially dangerous situations. The state of the art monitor can detect LEL, O2, H2S, and CO simultaneously and display the results on the large LCD display screen.

Each of the miniature sensors are manufactured with the high quality control standards of RKI Instruments. The compact sensors utilize catalytic combustion, electrochemical, and galvanic sensor technology.

Alarm System

The unit features dual audible alarm ports at 95 dB, and three bright LED lights for noticeable alerts. The Personal Four Gas Monitor also utilizes an ultra strong vibration alert designed to notify users of atmospheric conditions even when the device cannot be heard. When the monitor is in alarm mode, the backlight on the LCD display is turned on. The multi-faceted alarm system is designed to be noticeable in any given situation and is sure to notify the user and those nearby.

Standard Features

The GX-2009 Model Personal Four Gas Monitor has many standard features including an incredible datalogging function. The datalogging software can store up to 100 calibration records and is compatible with many computer platforms. The log time can range from 10 to 300 hours and houses 8 alarm trends. The unit can also remind users of upcoming calibration and bump tests. With 2 glow in the dark, glove friendly buttons, users can easily operate the device on site.

The unit comes standard with an alligator clip, NiMH batteries, a charging station with VAC power supply, and a product CD with datalogging software.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor by RKI Instruments is a top of the line gas detection system that clips easily into place on a belt, pocket, helmet, or shirt. Its sensor detects the presence of four gases (oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gas) and immediately alerts the user and those nearby. The device is small enough to be highly portable and is available at a very affordable price.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor is available in four different models, each of which have been deemed safe for workplace use by CSA to U.S. and Canadian Standards for Class I, Division I, Groups A, B, C, and D atmospheres.

Triple Alarm System

When potentially hazardous atmospheric conditions have been detected, the Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor will activate its triple alarm system. The triple alarm is designed to alert the user and everyone within the vicinity. Once the alarm is activated, the backlight will turn on, the LED lights will flash, the audible alert will initiative, and the device will being to vibrate. The triple system is designed to be noticeable during a variety of working conditions when a user may not have full use of senses.

In addition to hazardous atmospheric conditions, the device will alert users when the battery is low, the sensors are malfunctioning, and more.

Specifications

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor has a response time of 20 seconds for oxygen levels and 30 seconds for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gas. The unit is powered by alkaline dry cell batteries (2 AAA batteries) with a battery life of over 3,000 hours (except model GP-01 which has a battery life of 16 hours). The unit is also equipped with a Peak hold function and STEL & TWA function. Its pocket size dimensions (1.4 W x 4.1 H x 0.8 D) and light weight (3.5 ounces) renders the device highly portable.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor is compatible with a number of accessories that help to customize the unit to meet a specific workplace's needs. The unit comes standard with rubber protective boots, alkaline batteries, belt clip or alligator clip, and wrist strap. The new Model GD-70D series smart gas detection transmitter series sets a new standard for performance, flexibility, and versatility. The GD-70D sample-draw transmitter offers an array of sensor technologies unmatched in the industry, including unique offerings, such as our hydrogen-specific ppm and LEL versions.

The long life high capacity pump and wide variety of sensing elements are replaceable in a few seconds, with no tools required! The smart sensors retain all calibration and sensor-specific data in non-volatile memory, so sensor can be hot-swapped in the field with no programming required. The sensors also retain calibration information, which means they can be conveniently calibrated separate from the transmitter, avoiding transport of calibration gases to the field location. The GD-70D firmware automatically corrects for long-term zero and span "drift minimizing maintenance and maximizing reliability.

The GD-70D can be used as a stand-alone device, offering a number of communication protocols to existing PLC systems, or can be integrated with RKI's Beacon series of single and multi-channel controllers.

All GD-70D transmitters include large, easy to read integral LCD display, tri-color bar graph for visual notification of alarm status, programmable low and high alarm relays, and fault relay. Pump flow is self-tuning for maintenance-free operation. Because all GD-70D base units are identical, sensors can be interchanged with no programming or tools required, resulting in maximum flexibility to the user.
