Two Channel Wall Mount Controller

The Two Channel Wall Mount Controller Beacon 200 Model utilizes microprocessors and state of the art technology to ensure accurate gas detection and alert those nearby of atmospheric conditions. The unit is affordable, versatile, user-friendly, and easy to install. This model connects directly to long lasting RKI sensors for LEL level combustible gases, oxygen, and toxic gases. These sensors may be connected directly to the unit or may be wired remotely.

Two Channel Wall Mount Controller Beacon 200 Model Features

The unit features simultaneous atmospheric condition readout on 2 channels with 2 alarm levels per channel and a built in audible alarm system. The unit also houses 4-20 mA outputs and accepts any 4-20 mA transmitter input (24 VDC). The unit can also be wired with a variety of RKI Instrument sensors.

The Two Channel Wall Mount Controller Beacon 200 Model is housed in a wall mounting grey polycarbonate casing with a hinged cover. The NEMA 4X enclosure is waterproof, chemical resistant, and weather resistant ensuring maximum protection against potential environmental hazards that could damage safety equipment. It is user-friendly with 4 push buttons for setup, programming, and calibration. The unit also features 1 external push button for alarm reset.

The alarm system features an audible and visual alert system. The built-in audible alarm uses a 94 dB alert system, and the visual alerts feature 4 ultra-bright LED lights on the front cover. The alarms will alert users about potentially dangerous atmospheric conditions in addition to potential unit malfunctions.

Beacon 200 Model Specifications

The Two Channel Wall Mount Controller Beacon 200 Model features a backlit alphanumeric display that is easy to read and practical with 20 characters per line and a 4 line capacity. The wall mounted controller is approximately 10.5 H x 8.5 W x 6.3 D and is powered by 115 VAC or 24 VDC standard with an optional 230 VAC and an available battery backup option. S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The RKI S2 Sensors and Transmitters use state of the art sensor technology to detect common gas hazards. Their efficient design and cost effectiveness make them an industry choice for atmospheric monitoring. The sensor transmitters can be used in both indoor and outdoor conditions and are designed to interface with RKI controllers or PLC/DCS systems.

The sensors are available in explosion proof casing for monitoring LEL, H2 specific, oxygen, H2S, CO2, and carbon monoxide. These sensors also have flame arrestors and are approved for use in hazardous environments. The oxygen, H2S, CO, and CO2 sensors are available in non-explosion proof models. The sensors provide highly specific and quick detection and are long lasting. The sensors can be quickly replaced while on the field and do not require any tools.

Explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The explosion proof sensors use a variety of detection mechanisms including catalytic for LEL and LEL- H2 specific; metal oxide semiconductor for hydrogen; galvanic cell technology for oxygen; electrochemical for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide; and infrared for carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons. A hydrogen specific sensor transmitter is not available. Each of these detection methods come with their own measuring range specifications and response times varying from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. These sensors are stainless steel and are housed in a cast aluminum explosion proof J-Box (a stainless steel J-Box is also available).

Non-explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The non-explosion proof sensors use galvanic cells for oxygen detection; electrochemical technology for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other toxics; and infrared technology for carbon dioxide detection. The response times vary between 20 seconds and 60 seconds depending on the targeted gas, and the measuring ranges vary as well. These sensors are plastic or aluminum and housed in an explosion proof J-Box.

Accessories

The S2 Sensor/Transmitter has numerous accessories available to meet the individual workplace's needs. Such accessories include calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and data loggers.

The GX-82A and GX-86A can detect a combination of Combustible, Oxygen, and toxic gases (Carbon Monoxide or Hydrogen Sulfide). The GX-82A and GX-86A are enhanced popular designs of the time tested GX-82 and GX-86. These new designs maintain all of the popular features on the original models such as the unique removable sensor block engineered for extender cables, sample drawing attachable pump capability, and easy to replace "bayonet" style sensors. 35-3000RK-LELH LEL Hydrogen Specific Sample Draw Accessory in NEMA 4X Enclosure by RKI Instruments

The 35-3000RK series is a compact sample draw detector assembly with a built-in pump that accepts a 24VDC input. This unit features a NEMA 4X enclosure making it dust, water and corrosion resistant. It also features a flowmeter with adjustable flow and a low flow alarm which warns of any obstructions or restrictions in the flow system. Combustibles, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide versions are available with or without a 4-20 mA transmitter. The 35-3000RK is also available with both LEL and oxygen sensors in one unit.

The 35-3000RK is capable of single person calibrations and remote sampling at up to 5,000 ft. from a controller, and interfacing to any RKI or third party control system (utilizing a 4-20 mA feedback signal). Multigas versions of this efficient sample draw system are available with up to four sensors, LEL, O2, H2S and CO all in one enclosure. This is a very cost effective way of monitoring for several gases that may be in the same place.

The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter is operational with or without a controller and is available in two forms: explosion proof and non-explosion proof. The advanced technology transmitter can function as an independent standalone system or as part of an integrated detection and transmission system. Advanced sensor technology

The state of the art sensors are long lasting with a lifespan typically over two years. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Division 1 groups B, C, and D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. The sensors are rated Class I, Division 2 for all other toxic gases. Depending on the gas, the sensors will operate through a catalytic, galvanic cell, electrochemical, or infrared design. The plug in nature of the sensors allows for a quick and tool free onsite replacement.

Specifications

Each transmitter features 2 to 3 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof LEL H2 specific transmitter has 3 to 5 years with normal service, and the explosion proof carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons feature over 5 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof transmitters are also water repellant. Each device is approximately 8.5 H x 5.2 W x 4.5 D and features an alphanumeric display with a backlight. The screen displays 8 characters per line with 2 lines for gas concentration readouts.

Optional Accessories

The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter has a variety of optional accessories available including calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and dataloggers. The GD-K71D is a complete sample drawing gas monitor, including digital readout and alarm relays. A new gas sensor technology using an intelligent sensor for remote location calibration and setup is used. The new GD-K71D sensors are designed to provide a longer time period between calibrations. Calibration intervals have been extended to12 months of on-line service which equates to reduced maintenance cost. In addition, the sensors can be calibrated away from the gas detector installation, for example in a service area or off site. This eliminates the inconvenience of having calibration gases in the fab or monitoring location. GD-K71D easily connects to an existing PLC system and is ideal for applications needing a local readout or where a relay control is needed. The automatic zero correction software provides excellent long term stability and minimizes false alarms due to zero drift.

Detection solutions for a variety of hazardous environments

The Direct Connect Sensors are designed to be use in both indoor and outdoor settings. Additionally, some of the sensors are available in explosion proof models. The explosion proof models utilize a patented coating which serves double duty as also being water repellant. Users can also purchase splash guards to protect the sensors from very wet conditions.

Sensor Technology

Each sensor is crafted with stainless steel and housed in cast aluminum (stainless steel housing is available for some sensors). The Direct Connect Sensors are available in 2 forms: explosion proof and non-explosion proof. The explosion proof sensors are available as catalytic sensors for LEL, and LEL H2 specific. For hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, the sensors utilize electrochemical technology which provides incredibly specific accuracy and quick response. Oxygen sensors work with galvanic technology, and infrared sensors for methane, hydrocarbons, and carbon dioxide. Non-explosion proof uses a galvanic sensor for oxygen; electrochemical sensors for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases; and infrared for carbon dioxide. Both explosion proof and non-explosion proof have 1 year warranties for materials and craftsmanship.

Specifications

The response times are under 30 seconds for all gases except hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide in the non-explosion versions (with a response time of 35 seconds) and non-explosion proof model sensor for toxic gases which has a 60 second response time. The life expectancy of all sensors are between 2 and 5 years.
