The Sensepoint range of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas detectors offers users a cost-effective solution to their gas monitoring needs, in or out of doors and even in potentially explosive atmospheres. Supplied with a pre-wired junction box, this detector can be installed using conduit or armoured cable and glands depending on the specific needs of the application.

Sensepoint flammable and toxic gas detectors are designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and allow for easy access to terminals via the hinged lid of the junction box. Installation should follow national guidelines using suitably approved armoured cable and glands or conduit.

Supplied with an earth continuity plate for increased resistance to the effects of RFI, the junction box offers the installer a choice of 1/2", 3/4" and M20 connection via conduit or armoured cable and Ex e certified cable glands. Terminals are suitable for use with screened 0.5mm2 (20AWG) to 2.5mm2 (14AWG) cross sectional area cable, as needed to ensure minimum operating voltage at the detector, depending upon installed cable length.

Product Overview:

E3Point is capable of detecting the widest range of toxic and combustible gases found in commercial building spaces and outbuildings, including CO, NO2, O2, H2, H2S, CH4 and C3H8. It can be used as a standalone unit with single or dual-gas detection (i.e. using a remote sensor) or deployed as a networkable device (interoperable with BACnet, Modbus or other Building Automation System): E3Point also functions with existing controller-based gas monitoring systems and wired-wireless gas monitoring system components.

E3Point uses Demand Control Ventilation—through relays, Building Automation System (BAS) or controller—to increase energy savings, extend fan life and align with green building best practices. In its network configuration, E3Point also optimizes HVAC, fire/smoke, surveillance and other building systems performance.

Intelligent product design reduces the unit's cost of ownership while increasing flexibility of application. Smart sensors are pre-calibrated, auto-configure upon set-up and operate continuously on patented Reflex© technology which continuously monitors sensor cell condition and alerts user to fault status. The Optima Excel Local Display (OELD) is a smart junction box for the Searchpoint Optima Plus and Searchline Excel infrared detectors for flammable hydrocarbons. The OELD includes an LCD screen for gas information, a "traffic light" indicator for at-a-glance detector status, and Bluetooth® connectivity for simplified, non-intrusive maintenance. Simply pair the OELD with our intrinsically safe, ruggedized smartphone; then use the OELD smartphone app to interact with the gas detector from up to 10 meters (30 feet) away. For maximum flexibility, the gas detector can be mounted either directly or remotely to OELD to suit any situation.

The Sensepoint range of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas detectors offer users a high quality, low cost solution to their industrial gas monitoring needs. Installation in potentially explosive atmospheres is made by the use of a suitable Ex d or Ex e approved junction box. The industry standard outputs from Sensepoint are connected to either a choice of Honeywell Analytics' controllers or 3rd party DCS/ PLC systems. Both flammable and toxic versions are certified to the latest ATEX/IECEx safety and performance standards.

The flammable detector is available in either % LEL or PPM detection range versions and provides an industry standard mV bridge output. Typical life expectancy is greater than 5 years, after which the detector is simply replaced with a new one.

The toxic detectors are supplied pre calibrated for easy installation and provide an industry standard 2 wire 4-20mA loop output. User connections are Ex d, while front end Intrinsic Safety (IS) design allows for easy exchange of the replaceable sensor while powered. IS design also removes the need for a sinter enabling very fast speed of response and detection of 'sticky' gases such as Chlorine and Ammonia.
