Cirrus is Crowcon s third generation fixed point infrared flammable gas detector. The unit requires very little maintenance and has a fully automatic remote functional test capability that does not require local detector checks. Additionally, the unit is flexible enough to interface with a variety of new or existing systems.

Rugged and Reliable

When in potentially hazardous environments, workers need to feel safe and secure with their equipments integrity and reliability. The Cirrus infrared flammable gas detector provides that assurance. The unit features two beams for accurate readings and detection. One beam is utilized as the baseline and continuously checks the operation of the optics while providing a continuous zero measurement for the hydrocarbon detecting beam. Through this mechanism, drifts in the infrared source are compensated. The unit is housed in a durable stainless steel case that provides optimal protection from the elements and hazardous working conditions. Additionally, Cirrus is guaranteed for 5 full years.

Low Maintenance

One of the most important characteristics of the Cirrus infrared flammable gas detector is its low maintenance requirements. First and foremost, the docking station for the unit allows for easy installation and system changes. Once installed, configuration changes are easily made by connecting a computer to the control room. This also allows for easy field configurations. Cirrus also features a factory calibration that will last for 5 years. It will never require a zero or span gas calibration. The unit also operates up to 90% obscuration. When the device reaches the preset obscuration level, it will notify users that it is time for a cleaning.

Flexibility

Cirrus can be fitted with a number of accessories, testers, and interfaces to improve performance and customization. A fitted automatic drop-in filter would alleviate manual or local functional testing. Other interfaces would allow for easy testing when the device is inaccessibly located. The device may also be outfitted with accessories and interfaces that increase its compatibility with existing field cabling and control panels. The unit can easily interface with new, existing, or distributed control systems. Each control system may require a separate, but easy to install, compatibility accessory for optimal performance.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor by RKI Instruments is a top of the line gas detection system that clips easily into place on a belt, pocket, helmet, or shirt. Its sensor detects the presence of four gases (oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gas) and immediately alerts the user and those nearby. The device is small enough to be highly portable and is available at a very affordable price.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor is available in four different models, each of which have been deemed safe for workplace use by CSA to U.S. and Canadian Standards for Class I, Division I, Groups A, B, C, and D atmospheres.

Triple Alarm System

When potentially hazardous atmospheric conditions have been detected, the Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor will activate its triple alarm system. The triple alarm is designed to alert the user and everyone within the vicinity. Once the alarm is activated, the backlight will turn on, the LED lights will flash, the audible alert will initiative, and the device will being to vibrate. The triple system is designed to be noticeable during a variety of working conditions when a user may not have full use of senses.

In addition to hazardous atmospheric conditions, the device will alert users when the battery is low, the sensors are malfunctioning, and more.

The Single Gas Clip-On Personal Monitor has a response time of 20 seconds for oxygen levels and 30 seconds for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gas. The unit is powered by alkaline dry cell batteries (2 AAA batteries) with a battery life of over 3,000 hours (except model GP-01 which has a battery life of 16 hours). The unit is also equipped with a Peak hold function and STEL & TWA function. Its pocket size dimensions (1.4 W x 4.1 H x 0.8 D) and light weight (3.5 ounces) renders the device highly portable.

The G460 Multi-Gas Detector is a compact and robust system with the capabilities of detecting up to six different gases and simultaneously displaying the readings. The portable detector features a user friendly and intuitive interface to simplify the day to day operations.

Ease of Use

For typical daily operations, the G460 Multi-Gas Detector operates with a single button. The complete user interface can provide access to advanced setup options with three buttons. The unit also features easy calibration operation. Simply attach the calibration adapter and apply gas. The G460 will automatically perform the appropriate adjustments. The detector will then store the dates of the three most recent calibrations for each sensor.

The G460 also features a large easy to read tricolor display which uses a color code to indicate the alarm severity. From green to orange to red, the tricolor display is intuitive and incredibly user friendly. The display feature can also flip or zoom with the touch of a button. The G460 multi-faceted alarm system also includes an ultra loud audible buzzer at 103 dB, a standard vibration mechanism, and 360 bright LED alerts (the LED alerts can also be equipped to function as flashlights). This multi-faceted system is sure to alert users and those nearby of the potential hazardous conditions. For smooth and continuous operations, the G460 Multi-Gas Detector uses interchangeable alkaline and rechargeable battery packs that provide up to 25 hours of continuous operation. The hose is powered by its own battery pack that provides 20 hours of continuous operation. The multi-gas detector also features the widest range of sensors on the market. The compatible long lasting (and interchangeable) smart sensors include LEL, SO2, O2, H2, H2S, NO, CO, O3, HF, NH3, CIO2, CI2, PH3, ETO, HCN, and NO2. Users can purchase additional sensors to help customize the unit such as infrared sensors for the measurement of CO2 and photoionization sensors for volatile organic chemical hazards.
