Rugged, Reliable, and Flexible

The detector models are constructed to withstand the abuse of hazardous work environments. The TXgard and Flamgard Plus detectors use marine grade aluminum with a stainless steel sensor housing to ensure the safety and integrity of the equipment. The TXgard-IS+ is constructed of carbon-loaded nylon. The models also feature flexible output options including 2 or 3 wire formats, optional relays for alarm and fault, and 4-20mA current sink or source. Crowcon also has a wide variety of catalytic and electrochemical gas sensors to fit these models (currently offering more than 25 individual gas sensors).

Flamgard Plus and TXgardPlus Specifications

The Flamgard Plus and TXgard Plus models are similar in size (200 x 115 x 115 mm) and weight (2.2 kilograms). However, the Flamgard Plus utilizes a catalytic bead sensor and the TXgard Plus utilizes an electrochemical sensor. Both feature an ingress protection with an IP66 weatherproof cap and 2 x M20 x ½ NPT cable entries. These models feature optional relays of SPNO or SPNC contacts rated 30 Vdc 1A (non-inductive load) for Alarm 1 and fault for Alarm 2.

For easy reading, these models have a 3 digit backlit display with and LED status indicator. The magnetically operated buttons control the calibration method and the terminals are suited for up to 1.5 mm2 cable. Both models are suited for usage in hazardous zones 1 and 2.

TXgard IS+ and Specs

The TXgard IS+ is slightly smaller than the other two models and houses an electrochemical sensor type. It is approximately 160 x 123 x 92 mm in size and .7 kilograms in weight. This unit also features an IP66 weatherproof cap for ingress protection. The display is slightly smaller than the other two models, and offers a 2 line 16 character LCD screen. The calibration method is operated via front mounted push buttons, and its terminals are suited for up to 2.5 mm2 cables. This model is appropriate for hazardous zones 0, 1, and 2, and when connected via an isolation device, the TXgard IS+ is suited for hazardous zones 20, 21, and 22.

SP100B Switchable Passive Oscilloscope Probe, 100MHz, 1.2M Cable Length by Test Products International

Selecting the correct oscilloscope probe ensures accuracy and can improve the performance of your test instrument. TPI offers a wide range of high quality oscilloscope probes designed to meet the most demanding applications.

The IP series monolithic probes have switchable attenuation and are available in 60 and 250MHz. These probes are ideal for technicians that need a basic oscilloscope probe.

The slimline design P and SP series probes are available in fixed or switchable attenuation. These series of probes are perfect for the technician needing additional features such as replaceable cable and interchangeable probe tip. The compensation adjustment for these probes is located in the BNC to eliminate noise pickup.

TPI also offers three models of high voltage differential probes all with high common mode rejection, wide bandwidth, and fast rise times. Differential probes enable the viewing of signals not referenced to earth ground and provide better performance than a matched pair of single ended oscilloscope probes when measuring these types of signals.

Several important factors must be taken into account when selecting the proper probe.

• The probe should have sufficient bandwidth and rise time for the test instrument and application. Choose a probe with at least an equal bandwidth as the scope it will be used with. For best performance a probe with twice the bandwidth as the scope should be selected
• For oscilloscope probes, the input capacitance of your oscilloscope should be within the compensation range specification of the probe. In addition, if your oscilloscope has readout function, select a probe with this capability
• For differential probes, make sure the maximum differential voltage is adequate for your application and the common mode rejection specification meets the requirements of the tests being performed.

Features

• Attenuation: Ratio of the output signal to the input signal. Attenuation should remain constant decreasing by 3dB only as the frequency increases to the maximum bandwidth.
• Bandwidth: The maximum -3dB frequency that can be expected.
• Cable Length: Length of the cable from the end of the probe to the end of the connector. It is important to use a probe with just enough cable length for your needs. Long cables increase the capacitance and propagation delay of the probe.
• Compensation Range: The range a probe can be compensated to match the input capacitance of the test equipment it is being used with.
• IEC 1010: Probes with the IEC 1010 category rating have been designed for safety.
• Input Impedance: The total resistance and capacitance as measured at the tip of the probe. This specification is used to define the loading effect of a probe. At frequencies under 1MHz the input resistance of the probe will have the most influence. At higher frequencies the input capacitance will have the most influence.
• Max Input Voltage: The maximum voltage the probe can be used at.
• Max Differential Voltage: The maximum differential voltage that can be measured by a differential probe
• Readout: Probes with this capability are compatible with readout function oscilloscopes that automatically detect and display the attenuation factor of the probe.
• Rise Time: The time required for the leading edge of a pulse to rise from 10% to 90% of its final value.
• CMRR: Common Mode Rejection Ratio. A measure of a differential probes ability to reject any signals common to both test points in a differential measurement

GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector

The GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector is a new smart gas detection transmitter that monitors combustibles, oxygen, and a wide range of toxic gases. The unit can be used as a standalone device, integrated with other PLC systems, or integrated with RKI's Beacon series of single and multi-channel controllers. Its common platform integrates numerous detection methods and requires very little maintenance.

Exclusive Features

The plug and play intelligent sensors make for easy setup and calibration by internally retaining calibration and sensor data. This allows workers to replace sensors while in the field without the need to reprogram the equipment. For little maintenance and optimal reliability, the internal technology automatically adjusts for long-term zero and span drift. The pump flow is also self-tuning for low maintenance functioning. In general, the smart sensors use electrochemical cell detection, semiconductor detection, pyrolysis-particle detection, galvanic cell detection, and catalytic combustion detection.

The GD-70D Series features a large LCD display that easily reads all notifications and provides a color coded graph for alarm status (first and second alarms are red, and fault alarms are yellow). The LCD screen displays the pyrolyzer connection, gas concentration, detection unit of measurement, the detected gas, the maintenance status, sensor identification, the flow rate, a graph of gas concentration, error codes, and alarm points. All operational settings are completely user adjustable from the front panel. The unit also has a self-diagnosing function which detects sensor trouble and system failure. The Intelligent Gas Detector has a convenient troubleshoot feature through its firmware. This allows users to investigate and resolve their own equipment issues while minimizing maintenance costs.

The Eagle One to Six Gas Portable Monitor is available with a wide variety of exclusive features. The unit is capable of PPM/LEL hydrocarbon detection and for environmental use, has a methane elimination switch. The dual hydrophobic filters (available on some models) ensure quality control. To preserve the integrity and safety of the device, the portable monitor also has an adjustment lockout switch to prevent tampering.
