Advanced connectivity

The D-ReX comes with a wide variety of communication interfaces: Choose between analog, industry standard 4-20 mA, digital RS-485 interface (Modbus/RTU), Ethernet (Modbus/TCP) and LonWorks (optional) for signal transmission. Not all gases can be monitored directly at the measuring point. This may be because the maintenance of a remote sensor would be too complicated or because the target gas has to be broken down into detectable components first. This can be done using a pyrolyzer.

In these cases, the D-ReX PoS with its integrated pump is an ideal solution. The point of sampling (PoS) can be up to 100 feet / 30 meters away from the D-ReX. This also applies to the length of the recirculation hose.

The Celestron Aluminum Dew Shield with Cover Cap is an essential accessory that protects your telescope tube in the field. The dew shield reduces radiative cooling of the Schmidt corrector lens to the night sky, thus keeping the lens below the dew point longer preventing dew formation on the lens. Additionally, the Aluminum Dew Shield increases image contrast by blocking stray light from entering the telescope for better viewing and astroimaging. Use the Aluminum Dew Shield on your 14" EdgeHD, 36cm RASA, or Schmidt Cassegrain (made after 2006) telescope tube confidently, knowing it was created for your exact instrument.

Construction

The Aluminum Dew Shield provides a perfect, custom fit for 14" Celestron telescope tubes. The exterior of the dew shield is a rigid, aluminum cylinder that will not fold, flex, or deform. Inside, a velvet-lined interior absorbs any additional stray light and excess moisture, creating optimal contrast when viewing and imaging. Attach the dew shield to your telescope tube with the two adjustable clips to ensure a snug fit.

We've also constructed the cover cap from durable yet lightweight aluminum. When your telescope is not in use, place the cover cap on your dew shield to protect your Schmidt corrector from stray dust particles. The cover cap also offers you the ability to quickly and easily acquire dark frames for imaging.

High-Quality Altazimuth Base

Patented StarSense Sky Recognition Technology

StarSense Explorer uses patented technology and your smartphone to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed in the night sky. A Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA), like the ones satellites use in orbit to correctly orient themselves, helps the app match star patterns it detects overhead to its internal database.

While other astronomy apps may claim that they can help you find objects, they rely exclusively on the phone's gyros and accelerometers, which aren't as accurate as LISA technology. No other app can accurately tell you when your target is visible in the eyepiece.

Our team engineered this 2-in-1 accessory with StarSense Explorer Dobonians in mind. It has a red flashlight PLUS a USB power bank for charging mobile devices in the field.
