Single or dual sensor system is designed to monitor gas atmospheres from extreme conditions with either temperature or pressure challenges. A powerful air aspirator can pull a sample from up to 100 feet away. The filtered and conditioned sample gas is then passed across one or two different detectors. Each detector shares a common calibration and compressed air inlet for aspirated flow. This system is fault tolerant removing the need for expensive downtimes and maintenance. The sample is diluted with air after gas sensor then returned to a common exhaust reducing the danger of potential hazardous gases entering a safe work space.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides an NO contact that activates if the sample line becomes blocked or damaged or if the air supply is removed or interrupted.

The panel can be used with direct-connect (sensors connected to an RKI controller), or with S, S2 Series, and M2A Series transmitters. All transmitters have a 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to the site DCS, PLC or site control system. If needed, RKI instruments can supply a dedicated Gas Detection Control system to provide local alarms, 4-20 mA output with a wide range of dry contacts, making the system very sophisticated and user friendly.

Integral sample filter included to remove water and dirt, automatic drain type.

The Beacon 410 Four Channel Wall Mount Controller

The Beacon 410 is a customizable, microprocessor based 4 channel gas monitor. The unit simultaneously monitors up to 4 channels with a digital display reading all 4 channel readouts simultaneously. The unit is compatible with the easy to use direct connect sensors for LEL, CO2, 02, and toxic gases. The unit can also monitor any 4-20mA transmitter.

Each channel has 3 fully configurable alarm points. Within each channel, there are 2 dedicated fully configurable relays and a bank of common relays which can be configured as additional channel relays allowing up to 3 alarm relays per channel. Furthermore, a 4-20mA output signal is provided by each channel.

Ease of Use

The wall mount features an easy to read 4 x 20 backlit alphanumeric LCD display which simultaneously reads the gas levels for the 4 gases. Additionally, the Calibration Mode allows for easy calibration while in the field. The control panel allows for an easy understanding of how to adjust configurations. With a maximum of 6 switches or keys (including an alarm reset switch), users can easily configure the unit for maximum customization.

For worksite safety managers that need to evaluate and monitor collective data, each Beacon 410 is equipped with a digital Modbus interface for remote logging through a Modbus network. Additionally, the unit features minimum and maximum range data that can be viewed at any time.

Beacon 410 Specifications

The Beacon 410 wall mount efficiently fits onto a wall with convenient dimensions of 12.5"H x 11"W x 6.4"D. For safe monitoring, the unit features a dual alarm system with a 94 dB audible alert that is mounted on the enclosure and a visual color coded LED alert system. The technology is encased in a durable NEMA 4x non-metallic enclosure that is appropriate for indoor and outdoor locations. It is both chemical resistant and weather resistant. The X-dock® engineered advantage all starts with intuitive touchscreen operation at the master controller station where up to three test routines can be configured. Testing is as simple as inserting your Draeger gas detection instrument and closing the lid. The X-dock® immediately detects all sensor combinations and automatically tests and adjusts when all of the required test gases are connected. All generated data is documented in the database.

Comprehensive documentation

All of the relevant data from the test is collected for detailed evaluations providing you with the tools for unparalleled analytics. The report wizard can be used to create customized reports and calibration certificates can be printed right at the stations via PostScript-compatible USB printers. Configurations for every need

The Draeger X-dock® on all sitings comes in multiple configurations to allow for flexibility, depending on the type of detection instrumentation being used.

The X-dock® 5300 includes a master controller with a module for a single gas detection instrument in the X-am® or Pac family of products. The X-dock® 6300 and 6600 versions can be configured freely. They consist of a master controller and can be expanded with up to 10 modules for X-am® 1/2/5000 and/or Pac single gas detection instruments. For the X-am 8000 it can be expanded to with up to 5 modules.

Reduced test gas use means reduced costs

With a reduced gas flow (300 mL/min instead of 500 mL/min = 40% decrease) per module, you save money on test gases. Short testing times also reduce the overall maintenance requirements. Draeger's patent pending innovative valve concept only needs one pump, which means less wear on parts for you. The valves automatically switch the test gases and the fresh air source as well.

Time is money. You save both with the X-dock®

Up to 10 modules can be connected to the X-dock®, allowing you to test gas detection instruments simultaneously or independently of each other.
