Features

The Eagle One to Six Gas Portable Monitor is available with a wide variety of exclusive features. The Eagle has a battery life of up to 30 hours of continuous operation with alkaline or Ni-cad capability and a sensor life of approximately 2 years. Single or dual sensor system is designed to monitor gas atmospheres from extreme conditions with either temperature, moisture, or pressure challenges. A powerful air aspirator can pull a sample from up to 100 feet away. The filtered and conditioned sample gas is then passed across one or two different detectors. Each detector shares a common calibration and compressed air inlet for aspirated flow. This system is fault tolerant removing the need for expensive downtime and maintenance. The sample is diluted with air after the gas sensor and then returned to a common exhaust reducing the danger of potential hazardous gases entering a safe work space.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a NO contact that activates if the sample line becomes blocked or damaged or if the air supply is removed or interrupted.

The panel can be used with direct-connect (sensors connected to an RKI controller), or with S2 Series, and M2 Series transmitters. All transmitters have a 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to the site DCS, PLC or site control system. If needed, RKI instruments can supply a dedicated Gas Detection Control system to provide local alarms, 4-20 mA output with a wide range of dry contacts, making the system very sophisticated and user friendly.

The all new GDC-150 transmitter from Bacharach offers detection and protection for a wide range of hazards including toxic gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen depletion, combustible gases, refrigerant leaks and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). Analog interfaces allow the transmitter to be connected back to Bacharach's GDA Series of controllers (or any other gas detection controller), building management systems or control systems. The display can show the peak concentration measured at any given moment. Earlier alarms registered can also be retrieved at a later time, even if acknowledged.

The Pac 6000 with oxygen sensor has two additional alarm thresholds in addition to the standard alarm threshold setting. This provides an additional level of safety as a pre-alarm, in addition to the main alarm, can be set for both oxygen enriched and oxygen deficient atmospheres.

Data logger and event logger for analyses and reports

The Pac 6000 logs concentrations and events along with date and time. The data can be downloaded to a PC via an interface and processed further there.

Economical operational costs

All of the versions of the Pac 6000 are equipped with extremely durable Draeger Sensors and a powerful battery. Neither the sensor nor the battery need to be changed for the entire two-year maintenance-free service life of the H₂S, SO₂ and CO versions. The service life of the Draeger Pac 6000 starts when it is first activated. The device automatically switches off after two years.

S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The RKI S2 Sensors and Transmitters use state of the art sensor technology to detect common gas hazards. Explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The explosion proof sensors use a variety of detection mechanisms including catalytic for LEL and LEL- H2 specific; metal oxide semiconductor for hydrogen; galvanic cell technology for oxygen; electrochemical for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide; and infrared for carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons. A hydrogen specific sensor transmitter is not available. Each of these detection methods come with their own measuring range specifications and response times varying from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. These sensors are stainless steel and are housed in a cast aluminum explosion proof J-Box (a stainless steel J-Box is also available).

Non-explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The non-explosion proof sensors use galvanic cells for oxygen detection; electrochemical technology for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other toxics; and infrared technology for carbon dioxide detection. The response times vary between 20 seconds and 60 seconds depending on the targeted gas, and the measuring ranges vary as well. These sensors are plastic or aluminum and housed in an explosion proof J-Box.

The S2 Sensor/Transmitter has numerous accessories available to meet the individual workplace's needs.
