The replacement parts are also readily available and compatible with all Xgard models, thereby reducing the amount of required spare parts that are stored in the facility. Additionally, the sensors have two times the typical life spans of similar sensors in the industry. With a 2 year life span, worksites can expect to cut their sensor replacement costs in half. The robust and compact measuring instrument with a probe socket for highly accurate Pt100 probes and two sockets for fast-action thermocouple probes. Readings from up to three additional temperature probes can be displayed in the testo 735-2 measuring instrument's clear display; data transmission is by radio, i.e. wireless. GfG's EC 21 transmitter for detecting toxic gases in ambient air is an inexpensive gas detection solution for use in a wide variety of today's industrial applications.

Simple gas detection

The EC 21 is the simplest way to monitor ambient conditions. Simply attach the EC21 to a GfG controller or a PLC to continuously and efficiently monitor the concentration of hazardous toxic contaminants in the air.

The EC 21 is reverse-wire protected to prevent damage due to incorrect wiring of the device. The power connector hasa "quick disconnect" feature to simplify transmitter installation and service.

Mounting Position of the EC 21

To determine the mounting position of the EC 21 it is important to know and consider the ambient conditions. To achieve the best results, the ventilation conditions and the density of the gases need to be considered.

The EC 21 must be installed so that the gas reaches the sensor even in poorly ventilated areas. If necessary, check the area with a smoke cartridge.

Other influences such as water (rain, dripping or condensation) and dust need to be considered as well.

The CS 21 transmitter uses the proven chemosorption detection principle for detection of toxic gases, vapors and combustibles. The rapid response of the transmitter provides opportunity to take counter measures and thereby limit damages. Wall mount installation is straightforward. The distance between transmitter and controller can be greater than 500 m.
