ZD22-701 ZD 22 Fixed Gas Transmitter with Oxygen (O2) Sensor, 0 - 25% vol. Range, No Display / 4-20 mA by GfG

Superior technology

The ZD 22 Transmitter is specifically designed for long-term monitoring of oxygen concentrations. The integrated amperometric oxygen sensor is based on an electrochemical oxygen pumping cell made of zirconium dioxide. It is characterized by its robustness, a very high life expectancy and its outstanding long-term stability. The integrated thermostatic control of the sensor element achieves accurate measuring results in the entire temperature range, regardless of the operating temperature. It can also be permanently used in environments with high concentrations of CO2 or in dry atmosphere. Special equipment is available to protect the transmitter when used in harsh environments.

Signal processing

The protective casing (IP 54) of the ZD 22 Transmitter contains the complete signal processing electronics and the failsafe routing of the measurement signal for the measuring computer, with extensive self-monitoring. The embedded software linearises the measuring signal and compensates for the effects of temperature. As a result, correct readings are transmitted even with weather related fluctuations in temperature. In addition, the transmitter can be connected to a gas measurement computer for the option of transmitting service, maintenance, and error messages.

Universal signal transmission

The ZD 22 Transmitter transmits the signals either using an analog (0.2 1mA / 4-20 mA) current interface or a digital (RS485) Modbus interface. This permits the universal use of the trasmitters in combination with GfG gas measurement computers and thus connection to a safety system, so that you and your systems will benefit from the best possible protection.

There are a variety of applications for the ZD 22 in regard to sensors, status LEDs and optional analog or digital interface, "Zero" key to calibrate the zero point, test socket and a potentiometer for the calibration of the sensor.

Weather protection

A weatherproof housing not only protects transmitters against exposure to wind and weather, but also against contamination and excessive temperatures caused by direct sunlight.

Optional colored graphic display

The clear graphic display of the ZD 22 is self explanatory and allows you to read the current status and other important information with ease. This unique, practical gas monitor readout/alarm device offers a variety of configuration options for industrial refrigeration customers with their own computer control system, OEMs who want to incorporate gas sensing in their design and existing Honeywell Analytics customers who want remote indication other than at their main readout. It has an easily adjusted setpoint and relay output in either configuration, plus 4/20mA output in the "feed-through" design. With its own plug-in power supply, the GM-JR sensor combination provides an economical answer for local concentration level information and control capability.

The GM-JR standard configuration is a single, rugged, miniaturized board mounted inside the door of the enclosure, and a separate terminal board for the sensor and/or power cable connections. The 20-segment LED bar graph has a calibrated scale that is specified when ordered. Alarm trip adjustments are made easily at 5% increments. On power up or after momentary power loss, a one-minute power-up delay period allows the sensor to stabilize.

The unit continuously monitors the incoming 4/20 mA signal from the sensor. If the signal drops below 1.4 mA, the fault LED will illuminate and the alarm relay will trip. The alarm relay is always energized in its normal state, providing additional safety.

The GM-JR can be housed in its own 4" x 6" heavy-duty steel enclosure and operate as an "end of line" stand-alone readout/alarm unit or feed the sensor's 4/20 mA signal directly through to a PLC. It also can be mounted in the door of any sensor enclosure to incorporate both sensor and readout in the same 4" x 6" or 6" x 8" housing. Use #18/3 shielded cable (Belden #8770 or equal) for runs up to 1500' with most sensors.

The FCL series (free chlorine sensors) feature amperometric measurement technology. Proven and cost-effective

The CS22 works on the principle of chemisorption (CS). Thanks to a wide range of monitorable gases and multiple measurement ranges, the CS22 offers a wide range of uses, from laboratories to industrial applications to refrigeration systems.

Transmitters with electrochemical sensors (EC), are also used with toxic and flammable gases. In contrast, the CS22 is a much more durable and cost-efficient solution. However, the environmental parameters must fit.

Communicates analog and digital

The measured values and status information of the CS22 can be transmitted either analog (4-20 mA or 0.2-1 mA) or digital (RS-485). This allows not only the use in combination with any GfG controller, but also the connection to programmable logic controllers (PLC).

Smart measured value processing

Industry-wide, the trend is towards smart units, such as the CS22, whose integrated electronics process the data already at the measuring point. The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter is available for LEL, H2S, CO, PPM, HC, CO2, CI2, NH3, SO2, HCN, and more. The unit also features an infrared sensor for CO2 and combustible gases. With 2 fully programmable alarms and a fail relay, the visual color coded LED alarms are reliable and customizable to meet specific needs.

Advanced sensor technology

The state of the art sensors are long lasting with a lifespan typically over two years. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Division 1 groups B, C, and D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. The sensors are rated Class I, Division 2 for all other toxic gases. Depending on the gas, the sensors will operate through a catalytic, galvanic cell, electrochemical, or infrared design. The plug in nature of the sensors allows for a quick and tool free onsite replacement.

Specifications

Each transmitter features 2 to 3 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof LEL H2 specific transmitter has 3 to 5 years with normal service, and the explosion proof carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons feature over 5 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof transmitters are also water repellant. Each device is approximately 8.5 H x 5.2 W x 4.5 D and features an alphanumeric display with a backlight. The screen displays 8 characters per line with 2 lines for gas concentration readouts.

The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter has a variety of optional accessories available including calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and dataloggers. FCL510-MA Free Chlorine Sensor, 4-20 mA output, 0-10 ppm, 10ft cable, Tinned Leads by Sensorex

The FCL series (free chlorine sensors) feature amperometric measurement technology. Designed for disinfection applications in water treatment, for pools, etc., these sensors are available in three ranges for detecting ppm level of free chlorine. Choose the FCL502 for 0-2ppm, FCL505 for 0-5ppm and FCL510 for 0-10ppm of free chlorine.

Series 3000 MKII

For easy installation, the Series 3000 MKII comes standard with all necessary accessories and can be mounted on a wall or support pole using the provided universal bracket. The unit can also be installed electrically by using a conduit or cable with an appropriate mechanical protection.
