The advanced technology transmitter can function as an independent standalone system or as part of an integrated detection and transmission system. Using state of the art technology, the transmitter uses a magnetic want technique for performing non-intrusive calibration. For optimal stability and accurate readings, the unit provides an automatic zero drift correction feature. This also reduces the need for adjustments due to sensor aging.

The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter is available for LEL, H2S, CO, PPM, HC, CO2, CI2, NH3, SO2, HCN, and more. The unit also features an infrared sensor for CO2 and combustible gases. With 2 fully programmable alarms and a fail relay, the visual color coded LED alarms are reliable and customizable to meet specific needs.

Advanced sensor technology

The state of the art sensors are long lasting with a lifespan typically over two years. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Division 1 groups B, C, and D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. The sensors are rated Class I, Division 2 for all other toxic gases. Depending on the gas, the sensors will operate through a catalytic, galvanic cell, electrochemical, or infrared design. The plug in nature of the sensors allows for a quick and tool free onsite replacement.

Specifications

Each transmitter features 2 to 3 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof LEL H2 specific transmitter has 3 to 5 years with normal service, and the explosion proof carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons feature over 5 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof transmitters are also water repellant. Each device is approximately 8.5 H x 5.2 W x 4.5 D and features an alphanumeric display with a backlight. The screen displays 8 characters per line with 2 lines for gas concentration readouts.

Optional Accessories

The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter has a variety of optional accessories available including calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and dataloggers. 72-0066RK Portable Leak Checker for Phosphine (PH3)(Also Detects Arsine, Diborane, Silane, & Hydrogen) by RKI Instruments

The truly portable and personal leak tester model SP0205ASC can be conveniently over the shoulder with its carrying strap These units automatically draw leaking gases with each internal pump When an optional earphone is used alarm buzzer sound can be heard in spite of a hard back-ground noise. With model SP205ASC, workers can now be individually protected from potentially dangerous toxic gas leaks. These units are also used as leak checkers at pipe, pump connections. It can give an early warning indication of small leaks before they become large and potentially dangerous.

An intermittent tone sounds and an LED lamp flashes if a gas leak is detected. The tone frequency is proportional to the gas concentration, i.e., low gas concentration is signalled by a slow beep and higher gas concentration by a faster beep.

The model SP-205ASC is specially designed for the use of semiconductor industry and to detect the presence of special gas such as gaseous hydride at much higher sensitive level. Low battery alarm and gas alarm lamp are provided. After power on and turning gas selection switch to either side, find an alarm end point by turning alarm set wheel. This is ready to run. When it is necessary to have a gas concentration, turn the alarm setting wheel counterclockwise for additional graduations in clean air after the prior alarm wheel setting. Model SP-205ASC can show you an approximate gas concentration according to tables shown below.

Features

• Lightweight, compact, easy to use
• LED lamp flash, intermittent buzzer for a warning
• Intrinsically safe design
• Lamp goes off for low battery voltage
• Sample draw system
• Fast response and high sensitivity

30-0954RK-223 Aspirator Panel for One Oxygen or Toxic Direct Connect or S2 Transmitter, with Flow Switch by RKI Instruments

Single or dual sensor system is designed to monitor gas atmospheres from extreme conditions with either temperature, moisture, or pressure challenges. A powerful air aspirator can pull a sample from up to 100 feet away. The filtered and conditioned sample gas is then passed across one or two different detectors. Each detector shares a common calibration and compressed air inlet for aspirated flow. This system is fault tolerant removing the need for expensive downtime and maintenance. The sample is diluted with air after the gas sensor and then returned to a common exhaust reducing the danger of potential hazardous gases entering a safe work space.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a NO contact that activates if the sample line becomes blocked or damaged or if the air supply is removed or interrupted.

The panel can be used with direct-connect (sensors connected to an RKI controller), or with S2 Series, and M2 Series transmitters. All transmitters have a 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to the site DCS, PLC or site control system. If needed, RKI instruments can supply a dedicated Gas Detection Control system to provide local alarms, 4-20 mA output with a wide range of dry contacts, making the system very sophisticated and user friendly.

Integral sample filter included to remove water and dirt, automatic drain type.
