For hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, the sensors utilize electrochemical technology which provides incredibly specific accuracy and quick response. Oxygen sensors work with galvanic technology, and infrared sensors for methane, hydrocarbons, and carbon dioxide. Non-explosion proof uses a galvanic sensor for oxygen; electrochemical sensors for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases; and infrared for carbon dioxide. Both explosion proof and non-explosion proof have 1 year warranties for materials and craftsmanship.

Specifications

The response times are under 30 seconds for all gases except hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide in the non-explosion versions (with a response time of 35 seconds) and non-explosion proof model sensor for toxic gases which has a 60 second response time. The life expectancy of all sensors are between 2 and 5 years.

The GD-K71D is a complete sample drawing gas monitor, including digital readout and alarm relays. A new gas sensor technology using an intelligent sensor for remote location calibration and setup is used. The new GD-K71D sensors are designed to provide a longer time period between calibrations. Calibration intervals have been extended to12 months of on-line service which equates to reduced maintenance cost. In addition, the sensors can be calibrated away from the gas detector installation, for example in a service area or off site. Advanced sensor technology

The tri-sensor head can be used either indoors or outdoors. The flame arrestors for the explosion-proof versions utilize a patented coating which make them water repellent. Also, splash guards are available for use in very wet environments.

The unique tri-sensor design integrates 3 sensors into one explosion proof housing. This results in significant savings with installation and wiring cost versus traditional single sensor enclosures. Only one conduit needs to be run to the sensors.

To reduce calibration costs and time, the unit features an automatic calibration option and a single gas calibration option.

The Eagle 2 is heavily protected from environmental conditions by a weather proof, chemical resistant RFI/EMI coated high impact polycarbonate/PBT blend enclosure. The enclosure also renders the unit water and dust resistant. Because of the enclosure, the Eagle 2 can function in 2 inches of water without leakage.

The portable and durable unit is lightweight at less than 4 pounds. Its dimensions are suitable for convenient carrying (9.5?L x 5.25?W x 5.875?H), and it features a conveniently placed durable top handle. The large easy to read display has a polyurethane overlay backlights on demand and when the alarm is activated. The 2 alarm channels are fully adjustable for the user and can be password protected. With a 95 dB buzzer and 4 high intensity LEDs, the alarm is sure not to be missed. The Eagle 2 is standard with a 2 year warranty for material and workmanship and a 1 year warranty for PID sensor.
