The unit is compatible with the easy to use direct connect sensors for LEL, CO2, 02, and toxic gases. The unit can also monitor any 4-20mA transmitter.

Each channel has 3 fully configurable alarm points. Within each channel, there are 2 dedicated fully configurable relays and a bank of common relays which can be configured as additional channel relays allowing up to 3 alarm relays per channel. Furthermore, a 4-20mA output signal is provided by each channel.

Ease of Use

The wall mount features an easy to read 4 x 20 backlit alphanumeric LCD display which simultaneously reads the gas levels for the 4 gases. The Beacon 410 is a customizable, microprocessor based 4 channel gas monitor. The unit simultaneously monitors up to 4 channels with a digital display reading all 4 channel readouts simultaneously. The unit is compatible with the easy to use direct connect sensors for LEL, CO2, 02, and toxic gases. The unit can also monitor any 4-20mA transmitter.

Each channel has 3 fully configurable alarm points. Within each channel, there are 2 dedicated fully configurable relays and a bank of common relays which can be configured as additional channel relays allowing up to 3 alarm relays per channel. Furthermore, a 4-20mA output signal is provided by each channel.

Ease of Use

The wall mount features an easy to read 4 x 20 backlit alphanumeric LCD display which simultaneously reads the gas levels for the 4 gases. Additionally, the Calibration Mode allows for easy calibration while in the field. The control panel allows for an easy understanding of how to adjust configurations. With a maximum of 6 switches or keys (including an alarm reset switch), users can easily configure the unit for maximum customization.

For worksite safety managers that need to evaluate and monitor collective data, each Beacon 410 is equipped with a digital Modbus interface for remote logging through a Modbus network. Additionally, the unit features minimum and maximum range data that can be viewed at any time.

Beacon 410 Specifications

The Beacon 410 wall mount efficiently fits onto a wall with convenient dimensions of 12.5"H x 11"W x 6.4"D. For safe monitoring, the unit features a dual alarm system with a 94 dB audible alert that is mounted on the enclosure and a visual color coded LED alert system. Advanced sensor technology

The state of the art sensors are long lasting with a lifespan typically over two years. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Division 1 groups B, C, and D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. The sensors are rated Class I, Division 2 for all other toxic gases. Depending on the gas, the sensors will operate through a catalytic, galvanic cell, electrochemical, or infrared design. The plug in nature of the sensors allows for a quick and tool free onsite replacement.

Specifications

Each transmitter features 2 to 3 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof LEL H2 specific transmitter has 3 to 5 years with normal service, and the explosion proof carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons feature over 5 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof transmitters are also water repellant. Each device is approximately 8.5 H x 5.2 W x 4.5 D and features an alphanumeric display with a backlight. A new gas sensor technology using an intelligent sensor for remote location calibration and setup is used. The new GD-K71D sensors are designed to provide a longer time period between calibrations. Calibration intervals have been extended to12 months of on-line service which equates to reduced maintenance cost. In addition, the sensors can be calibrated away from the gas detector installation, for example in a service area or off site. This eliminates the inconvenience of having calibration gases in the fab or monitoring location. To protect the integrity of the device and the configurations, the unit can be password protected. The Eagle 2 is heavily protected from environmental conditions by a weather proof, chemical resistant RFI/EMI coated high impact polycarbonate/PBT blend enclosure.
