The Eagle One to Six Gas Portable Monitor is available with a wide variety of exclusive features. RI-215A-03 RI-215A IR Diffusion Detector Head for CO2, 0 - 5% by RKI Instruments

The RI-215 series of IR CO2 montitors are widely used in the measurement and control of CO2 levels in a variety of applications where CO2 monitoring or detection is required. A highly accurate, RKI non-dispersive infrared absorption sensor is used to provide direct measurements through diffusion or sample draw monitors, and activate alarms or control ventilation systems based on preset CO2 levels. Each model provides a digital readout in parts per million of CO2 providing precise measurement and direct visual indication of gas levels. A 4-20 mA output is provided to send a signal to a fire panel or other PLC system and a relay is available to trip an alarm or activate a ventilation system.

Three levels of measurement are provided: 0-2,000 ppm (ASHRAE 1969 IAQ max PEL), 0-5,000 ppm (leak detection of CO2 storage tanks) and 0-9,999 ppm. The RI-215A runs on 24 VAC or 24 VDC and the RI-215D with sample drawing pump runs on 115 VAC or 220 VAC. Each are designed for indoor use only and supplied in a NEMA 12 enclosure that is easily accessible for calibration, service, and continuous monitoring. The SM-2000 single module calibration station for the GX-2009 and GX-2003 portable gas monitors is a stand alone station that can calibrate, bump test, charge, and archive data without the need of a computer to operate. The module has 4 operating modes, which include bump test only, % volume methane bump/calibration (for the GX-2003), calibration only, and bump with automatic calibration (if the bump test fails). The SM-2000 modules are capable of storing up to 200 bump test or calibration records. To download the data each module includes a 1 GB USB flash drive. Also included is a software package to import the data from the USB drive and manage records by serial #, user ID, or station ID. Each module has user adjustable test times and tolerances to meet specific testing requirements. The charger within the module quick charges battery packs within 90 minutes and will recognize alkaline batteries. The Calibration Station power requirements are 115/230 VAC, 50/60Hz.

30-0954RK-221 Aspirator Panel for One LEL Direct Connect or S2 Transmitter, with Flow Switch by RKI Instruments

Single or dual sensor system is designed to monitor gas atmospheres from extreme conditions with either temperature, moisture, or pressure challenges. A powerful air aspirator can pull a sample from up to 100 feet away. The filtered and conditioned sample gas is then passed across one or two different detectors. Each detector shares a common calibration and compressed air inlet for aspirated flow. This system is fault tolerant removing the need for expensive downtime and maintenance. The sample is diluted with air after the gas sensor and then returned to a common exhaust reducing the danger of potential hazardous gases entering a safe work space.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a NO contact that activates if the sample line becomes blocked or damaged or if the air supply is removed or interrupted.

The panel can be used with direct-connect (sensors connected to an RKI controller), or with S2 Series, and M2 Series transmitters. All transmitters have a 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to the site DCS, PLC or site control system. If needed, RKI instruments can supply a dedicated Gas Detection Control system to provide local alarms, 4-20 mA output with a wide range of dry contacts, making the system very sophisticated and user friendly.

Integral sample filter included to remove water and dirt, automatic drain type.

S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The RKI S2 Sensors and Transmitters use state of the art sensor technology to detect common gas hazards. The sensor transmitters can be used in both indoor and outdoor conditions and are designed to interface with RKI controllers or PLC/DCS systems.

The sensors are available in explosion proof casing for monitoring LEL, H2 specific, oxygen, H2S, CO2, and carbon monoxide. These sensors also have flame arrestors and are approved for use in hazardous environments. The oxygen, H2S, CO, and CO2 sensors are available in non-explosion proof models. The sensors provide highly specific and quick detection and are long lasting. The sensors can be quickly replaced while on the field and do not require any tools.

Explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The explosion proof sensors use a variety of detection mechanisms including catalytic for LEL and LEL- H2 specific; metal oxide semiconductor for hydrogen; galvanic cell technology for oxygen; electrochemical for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide; and infrared for carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons. A hydrogen specific sensor transmitter is not available. Each of these detection methods come with their own measuring range specifications and response times varying from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. These sensors are stainless steel and are housed in a cast aluminum explosion proof J-Box (a stainless steel J-Box is also available).

Non-explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The non-explosion proof sensors use galvanic cells for oxygen detection; electrochemical technology for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other toxics; and infrared technology for carbon dioxide detection. The response times vary between 20 seconds and 60 seconds depending on the targeted gas, and the measuring ranges vary as well. These sensors are plastic or aluminum and housed in an explosion proof J-Box.

The S2 Sensor/Transmitter has numerous accessories available to meet the individual workplace's needs.
