The GX-2009 is the smallest 4 gas portable monitor in the world. The RP-2009 is a compact, battery operated, motorized sample drawing pump which attaches to the GX-2009 to change it from diffusion operation to sample drawing operation. Together the model RP-2009 pump assembly and the GX-2009 gas monitor make a complete solution for confined space entry.

The RP-2009 is housed in a rugged plastic case with a quick disconnect fitting for hose attachment, and it is provided with a hose and probe. Standard hose length is 10 feet, and lengths up to 30 feet are available. Then probe is equipped with an internal dust filter and clear body for easy viewing. The RP-2009 will operate for up to 5 hours on one AA battery. The pump quickly and firmly snaps over the sensor area of the GX-2009 gas monitor, and removes easily when sampling is completed. No tools are required.

A push button ON/OFF switch is used to activate the RP-2009, and a green power light is illuminated when it is on. If a low flow condition occurs, from either a flow blockage or a low battery, an red flashing LED is activated and an audible alarm will sound. For added versatility, the RP-2009 pump assembly is also available for use with our model GX-2001 gas monitor.

Advanced sensor technology

The state of the art sensors are long lasting with a lifespan typically over two years. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Division 1 groups B, C, and D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. The sensors are rated Class I, Division 2 for all other toxic gases. Depending on the gas, the sensors will operate through a catalytic, galvanic cell, electrochemical, or infrared design. The plug in nature of the sensors allows for a quick and tool free onsite replacement.

Specifications

Each transmitter features 2 to 3 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof LEL H2 specific transmitter has 3 to 5 years with normal service, and the explosion proof carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons feature over 5 years of life with normal service. The explosion proof transmitters are also water repellant. Each device is approximately 8.5 H x 5.2 W x 4.5 D and features an alphanumeric display with a backlight. The screen displays 8 characters per line with 2 lines for gas concentration readouts.

Optional Accessories

The M2 Stand Alone Transmitter has a variety of optional accessories available including calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and dataloggers. The GX-2001 is the smallest 4-gas monitor in the world and now it is available with a compact battery operated sample-drawing pump that attaches in line for remote, portable monitoring. Together the model RP-6 sample drawing pump and the GX-2001 make a complete solution for confined space entry situations.

The RP-6 pump is housed in a rugged plastic case with quick connect fittings located on both ends of the unit. It is sold with either a 4 rubber nipple or with a 10' hose and probe. When buying the RP-6 with the 10' hose and probe, the probe is equipped with a dust filter and the 10' hose connects at the RP-6's quick connect inlet fitting. The inlet fitting of the RP-6 then connects to a removable clear plastic cup, which is a filter holder. This filter holder contains a dust and hydrophobic filter inside. The exhaust fitting of the RP-6, which is also a quick connect, connects to a coiled hose, which brings the sample to the GX-2001. The RP-6 will run for 5 hours from just 1 AA alkaline battery.

A rotating, ON/OFF switch is located near the inlet end of the RP-6. When the ON/OFF switch is on, the green power LED is illuminated. If a low flow condition occurs, the RP-6 will go into low flow alarm with a red flashing LED. For additional versatility, the RP-6 is also available for use with our model GX-94 portable gas monitor.

FP-330 Paper Tape Machine for Formaldehyde by RKI Instruments

RKI s paper tape monitors utilize highly sensitive colorimetric tapes to achieve interference free gas detection. The FP-330 is equipped with an easily replaceable tape that is highly specific to Formaldehyde. This model is equipped with a digital display showing the type of gas and concentration in PPM. The FP-330 will also display remaining tape life as well as an end of tape alarm.

The FP-330 has audible and visual alarms, as well as alarm relay contacts and 4-20mA output. A unique Tape Saver mode" extends tape life in applications where high background gas levels may be present.

30-0954RK-224 Aspirator Panel for Two Oxygen or Toxic Direct Connect or S2 Transmitters, with Flow Switch by RKI Instruments

Single or dual sensor system is designed to monitor gas atmospheres from extreme conditions with either temperature, moisture, or pressure challenges. A powerful air aspirator can pull a sample from up to 100 feet away. The filtered and conditioned sample gas is then passed across one or two different detectors. Each detector shares a common calibration and compressed air inlet for aspirated flow. This system is fault tolerant removing the need for expensive downtime and maintenance. The sample is diluted with air after the gas sensor and then returned to a common exhaust reducing the danger of potential hazardous gases entering a safe work space.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a NO contact that activates if the sample line becomes blocked or damaged or if the air supply is removed or interrupted.

The panel can be used with direct-connect (sensors connected to an RKI controller), or with S2 Series, and M2 Series transmitters. All transmitters have a 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to the site DCS, PLC or site control system. If needed, RKI instruments can supply a dedicated Gas Detection Control system to provide local alarms, 4-20 mA output with a wide range of dry contacts, making the system very sophisticated and user friendly.
