A pump adapter makes it easy to switch between diffusion and pump mode at any time. This means the pump is only operated when you actually need it. The X-am 8000 effectively supports various applications with specially developed assistant functions that guide you through each process step by step. During clearance measurement, for example, the smart assistant calculates the necessary flooding time for the device and probe (FKM hose) based on parameters such as measuring gases, temperature limits, and the indicated hose length. Additionally, customer defined flooding times are also possible.

When monitoring for potentially high methane concentrations, an optional automatic measurement range switch makes it easier to take a reading: If the Cat-Ex sensor measures values above 100 % LEL, the display switches to the range of 0 to 100 vol %. A similar function to measure in % LEL and vol % simultaneously is also available for the IR EX ES sensor.

The DraegerSensor CatEx 125 PR Gas offers a special variant for the measuring gas methane, which enables measurements in the ppm range. The performance of selected sensors has been verified by an external approval body within the scope of the measurement performance approval (EN 60079-29-1) for combustible gases and vapors including methane, propane and n-nonane.

An additional useful tool is CSE Connect. It combines an app, specially designed for the X-am 8000, with a cloud-computing solution. Measuring jobs can be quickly and easily transferred to the app using an online application. Clear signaling design

The signal system of the Draeger X-am 8000 is based on a clear color code, in accordance with the requirements of EN 60079-29-1, EN 45544-1 and EN 50104:

The green glow of the D-Light allows you to see from a distance whether the device has been properly tested and is ready for use.

Measuring point designations, the detector type, the type of gas and measuring range as well as three individual or specified alarm thresholds can be programmed for each measuring point using the configuration software. A microprocessor evaluates the analog input signals of the connected detectors.

Integrated relays

As a result of the increasing requirements being placed on safety measures, even redundant protection against gas hazards, complex gas warning systems are in demand. The GMA 200 gas warning system is equipped with 8 internal relays. 6 relays can be freely configured using the software program in order to implement safety measures and alarms. The configuration software offers numerous and flexible options, such as the assignment of one or several measuring points to relays, single alarms per measuring point and alarm threshold, configuration of collective or group alarms and fault messages and voting functions. Two further relays are available for safety-related fault messages and for maintenance.

Relay modules

Using a GMA RT relay module, it is possible to extend the GMA 200 gas warning system by 16 additional freely configurable relays. A total of 4 additional relay modules and thus 64 additional relays can be managed via the GMA 200 gas warning system. Digital connection of the GMA RT relay module to the GMA 200 gas warning system enables the local positioning of the relay modules. The local and thus flexible installation of the relay modules results in large cost savings due to reduced cabling and assembly functions.

Availability of the gas warning system

Besides the traditional voltage supply, the GMA 200 gas warning system can also be operated with a redundant, safety-related voltage supply and therefore meets the highest demands of functional safety and the required permanent availability of gas warning systems for detecting potential gas hazards.

Graphical display

Bacharach Multi-Zone Monitors provide continuous detection of refrigerant gas levels in up to 16 separate test zones and can be fitted with an optional two channel 4-20 mA current loop board for connection to remote monitoring equipment. Multi-Zone monitors retain a log of previous readings that can be easily accessed for analysis. Four relay contacts are provided that can be programmed to trigger external alarm devices in the event of a system fault, or if a leak (small), spill (medium) or evacuation (large) level of gas is detected, while audible and visual front panel indicators show alarm and fault conditions. The model FP-270 series are highly sensitive toxic gas monitors using a gas detection cassette tape which is almost free of interference from other gases. As the detection tape responds by a chemical reactionwith the gas being measured, there is no interference from hydrogen or organic gases. Exclusive Features

The unit is multilingual with 5 different language preferences, and features an alkaline battery life of 18 hours or a NiMH life of 20 hours. To protect the integrity of the device and the configurations, the unit can be password protected. The Eagle 2 also has standard data logging capabilities for easy research, evaluation, and site monitoring. To reduce calibration costs and time, the unit features an automatic calibration option and a single gas calibration option.

The Eagle 2 is heavily protected from environmental conditions by a weather proof, chemical resistant RFI/EMI coated high impact polycarbonate/PBT blend enclosure.
