The RKI gas monitor checks for all these gases on a cyclic basis. A powerful air aspirator draws a sample from up to 100 feet away. Since digester gas contains high humidity and high H2S, both of which can cause damage to sampling systems, the RKI Digester Gas Monitor is designed to handle these with no damage to the sampling system or sensors. The sample is passed through a series of dirt, dust, and moisture stopping filters, and these filters are automatically purged with fresh air at the end of each cycle.

Measurement time is just 4 minutes, taken at periodic cycles. Cycle time is selectable, with settings for cycle time of 15 minute, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours. A cycle can also be initiated anytime by pressing a button. After each cycle, the sensors and sampling system are flushed with fresh air so as to minimize corrosion caused by the high H2S content. The mSquad System is a quickly-deployable set of mobile multi-gas meters that communicate wirelessly to a Squad leader up to 0.8 km (0.5 miles) distant. Fire Sentry SS4-A

The Fire Sentry SS4-A represents the world's pre-eminent UV/IR technology for ElectroOptical Flame Detectors with tens of thousands successfully operating in a multitude of installations worldwide. This multi-spectrum detector senses radiant energy in the ultraviolet (UV), visible and wide band Infrared™ (IR) spectrum. The radiant energy from all types of flaming fires will alert the detector to their presence.

To eliminate common nuisance false alarms that occasionally occur with UV-only, IR-only, Dual IR or Dual Mode UV/IR detectors, the Fire Sentry SS4 detectors' FireLogic signal processing requires that UV, visible and wide band IR radiant energy all be evaluated before declaring a fire. The smart detector utilises real-time signal processing algorithms that are optimised to alarm on all types of fires, while virtually eliminating the possibility of false alarms.

Fire Sentry SS4-AS

The Fire Sentry SS4-AS processes UV, IR and Visible (VIS) spectral ranges from ruggedised solar-blind UV, "Quantum-Effect" IR and VIS sensors correspondingly. It is optimised for detection of hydrogen, ethanol, methanol and methane (natural gas) fires and like the other detectors in its family, it responds to Type A, B and C flaming fires.

Fire Sentry SS4-AUV

The Fire Sentry SS4-AUV represents the leading edge technology UV optical flame detectors. This flame detector senses radiant energy in the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum. The radiant emissions of flaming fires will alert the detector to their presence. The SS4-AUV is for indoor applications where UV sources such as welding are not present.

Operation

The Fire Sentry SS4 detectors operate from standard 24 Volt DC power and interface to approved fire alarm panels or standard PLC's. On power up, a self-test is performed and the fault relay resets to show no faults. The front LED lights flash every ten seconds to indicate power is on.

The continuous spectral data stream of information from the sensor array is analysed by the microprocessor. Upon alarm, the detector activates the alarm relay and stores all the pre-fire spectral data in non-volatile memory for retrieval and evaluation. This Fire Pic™ data can be used to postulate the cause of the fire. As part of the FS2000™ System, the SS4 family of detectors communicate with CM1-A Controller via a four wire bi-directional RS-485 FireBus™.

The field of view for the Fire Sentry SS4 detectors is the widest in the industry with a 120° cone of vision. This means more hazard area can be covered by each detector. Greater sensitivity also increases the volume covered by each detector; up to four times more than some other detectors.

Using sophisticated microprocessor signal processing algorithms, false alarm rejection is maximised - with virtual immunity to false alarms from arc welding, corona discharge and other common non-fire sources.

Touchpoint Pro has been designed to deliver flexibility, allowing the system to be freely configured to meet customers' varying needs. Touchpoint Pro's modularity means that any system topology can be built, including centralised, distributed I/Os, or a mix of both.

24/7 visibility of system status

Touchpoint Pro's central controller has a Webserver interface, which can be accessed when it is connected to a network, allowing users to remotely view status and event history, and acknowledge, reset or inhibit channels. This feature offers the possibility of system monitoring and data analysis from a remote location using multiple devices including tablets, smart phones and remote computers.

Simple installation and maintenance

Using a simple building block technique to create your system, Touchpoint Pro offers multiple features that simplifies installation, setup and ongoing maintenance. A key feature to this is the preloaded sensor catalogue, which contains a complete listing of all Honeywell Analytics' gas sensors, each with a full default configuration setting. A user can choose to configure input channel settings from the sensor catalogue, resulting in a quick and simple three step configuration process. The rest of the configuration will be loaded automatically.

Wide selection of inputs/outputs accepted

The Touchpoint Pro Input/Output plug-in modules can be combined up to a maximum of 16 input modules (64 channels) and 32 output modules (128 channels). Modules can be located in any Touchpoint Pro enclosure and power distribution is via the communication/power Rail. Touchpoint Pro accepts analogue, digital and relay modules making it one of the most flexible controllers available.

Intuitive user interface

The heart of the Touchpoint Pro is the central controller, which includes the user interface. The user interface features a full colour LCD touch screen, and provides engineers with an intuitive solution to system set-up and deployment. Easily accessible icons, supported by drop-down menus ensure that even the most complex of system configurations can be commissioned with efficiency.

Work smarter, work safer

The X-dock® engineered advantage all starts with intuitive touchscreen operation at the master controller station where up to three test routines can be configured. Testing is as simple as inserting your Draeger gas detection instrument and closing the lid. The X-dock® immediately detects all sensor combinations and automatically tests and adjusts when all of the required test gases are connected. All generated data is documented in the database.

Comprehensive documentation

All of the relevant data from the test is collected for detailed evaluations providing you with the tools for unparalleled analytics. The report wizard can be used to create customized reports and calibration certificates can be printed right at the stations via PostScript-compatible USB printers. Also documented are items such as instrument operational status and name of tester.

Convenience and control

The X-dock® Manager software produces a detailed evaluation of the data in the calibration system and gas detection instruments and presents the information in various graphics and statistical models—providing you with a comprehensive overview of all results. Multiple X-dock® systems can be connected in a network giving all users access to data in a central database.

Configurations for every need

The Draeger X-dock® on all sitings comes in multiple configurations to allow for flexibility, depending on the type of detection instrumentation being used.

The X-dock® 5300 includes a master controller with a module for a single gas detection instrument in the X-am® or Pac family of products. The X-dock® 6300 and 6600 versions can be configured freely. They consist of a master controller and can be expanded with up to 10 modules for X-am® 1/2/5000 and/or Pac single gas detection instruments. For the X-am 8000 it can be expanded to with up to 5 modules.

Reduced test gas use means reduced costs

With a reduced gas flow (300 mL/min instead of 500 mL/min = 40% decrease) per module, you save money on test gases. Short testing times also reduce the overall maintenance requirements. Draeger's patent pending innovative valve concept only needs one pump, which means less wear on parts for you. The valves automatically switch the test gases and the fresh air source as well.

Time is money. You save both with the X-dock®

Up to 10 modules can be connected to the X-dock®, allowing you to test gas detection instruments simultaneously or independently of each other. The automatic bump test also saves time, because the test only takes 8 to 15 seconds. All Draeger test gas cylinders are already stored in the database—just enter the part number to automatically fill the fields required for the gas configuration, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
