Alarm Points

Each alarm can be adjusted separately. The alarm point values can be freely adjusted within the detection range of the transmitter. Every alarm point value can be set to over range / under range, latching / non-latching, or resettable / non-resettable.

Alarm Relays

The controller provides four voltage-free relays for the three alarms and one fault warning. The relays may be used to control additional alarm devices like lights or horns. They can even prompt specific counter measures to prevent or limit dangers from gases or vapors.

IR 24 Detection Principle: Infrared Light

Since carbon dioxide (CO2) absorbs light in the infrared spectral range, the NDIR method used in the GfG sensor can measure the carbon dioxide concentration precisely and reliably. Infrared light is sent through the sensor chamber. Carbon dioxide absorbs a part of this light in a narrow spectral range, and the remaining light is measured at the detector. The difference between the light sent and received is proportional to the gas concentration. Water vapor or other gases that can be present in the sensor chamber do not affect the light absorption in this spectrum band.

Both legal regulations and your responsibility to your workers demand continuous, responsive, and reliable monitoring for such dangerous gases. Control module GMA 100 II

The GMA 100 II stationary gas warning system is comprised of a control module and a remote sensor (MWG). The sensor continuously monitors the gas concentration and sends a signal via cable to the GMA 100 II control module for evaluation. The GMA 100 II constantly monitors its own operational status and powers the remote sensor.

Immediate recognition and warning of gas hazards

The GMA 100 II provides three alarm levels that can be used to initiate appropriate responses to gas hazards. The pre-alarm, for example, warns of low gas concentrations, indicating leaks, before dangerous situations occur. The other two main alarm thresholds indicate direct danger requiring immediate action. Alarm levels can be variably adjusted within the detection range and adapted to changing requirements. Every threshold can be set to latching / non-latching and resettable / non-resettable alarm points.

Quick reaction means increased safety

Every control module provides optional voltage-free relays for the three alarms and for fault warning. The relays may be used for controlling external alarm devices like beacons or buzzers, or they can activate specific counter measures (closing valves or turning on a fan) to eliminate the danger from gases or vapors. The GMA 100 II is flexible enough to accommodate your individual requirements. Every relay can be either a normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) contact, and works in either closed or open circuit operation.

Designed to meet OSHA repuirements for the monitoring of Grade D respirable air from oil lubricated compressors, this versatile instrument, with years of proven perfomance, can be used for wide range of applications. Equipped with a MOS broad range sensor, the monitor not only responds and alarms to the excessive carbon monoxide which enters the airline system, but also to hydrocarbon contamination and other oxidizable toxic gases. A durable corrosion resistant and tamper proof case, rugged electronics, automatic purge, stable calibration, and continuous sample flow indication are all comblned to ensure trouble free operation.
