The RKI M2A™ is a state-of-the-art transmitter that can operate as an independent, stand-alone monitor or as part of an integrated system. It utilizes a magnetic wand technique for performing non-intrusive calibration. OSHA defines the breathing zone as a ten inch radius around the worker's nose and mouth, and requires that worker exposure monitoring air samples be collected in the breathing zone. Advanced sensor technology

The state of the art sensors are long lasting with a lifespan typically over two years. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Division 1 groups B, C, and D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2. The sensors are rated Class I, Division 2 for all other toxic gases. Depending on the gas, the sensors will operate through a catalytic, galvanic cell, electrochemical, or infrared design. This Model RI-85 is a compact, lightweight portable CO2 monitor with an Infrared (NDIR) type sensor. This sensor provides fast and accurate detection of CO2 levels from 0 to 10,000 ppm. An internal pump is utilized for continual sampling, and the unit operated for 12 hours from one set of batteries. Microprocessor control provides average readings over a selected time period, and also can display the peak value detected.

Built around high-quality micro-sensor technology, the GX-2012 is RKI's smallest personal 5 sensor gas monitor with a built in sample pump. Weighing only 12.3 ounces, the GX-2012 can monitor the standard confined space gases (LEL combustibles, Oxygen content, Carbon Monoxide, and Hydrogen Sulfide). When equipped with an optional sensor, it can also measure 100% volume Methane and dynamically display either % LEL, or % volume with its auto-ranging ability. With this version, the GX-2012 can be used for gas line purge testing as well as standard safety testing, and includes two operating modes: Normal (for confined spaces) and Bar Hole.

The GX-2012's large LCD display shows all gas readings, battery level, current time, and will automatically backlight in alarm conditions. Standard alarm types include vibration, visual, and audible alarms, which can be set to latching or nonlatching. Controlled by a microprocessor, the GX-2012 continuously checks itself for sensor connections, low battery, circuit trouble, low flow, and calibration errors. The GX-2012 can interchangeably operate on either a Li-Ion battery pack or an alkaline battery pack. The batteries are simple to replace requiring no tools to access the removable battery compartment or pack. Calibration and bump test intervals and reminders are user adjustable and can be set to either go into alarm or to lock the user out of normal measurement mode once a calibration period has expired. Calibrations can be performed automatically or individually in single calibration mode. The GX-2012 is also compatible with the economical SDM-2012 single channel calibration station.

The SDM-3R is a versatile maintenance tool that automates the service of a GX-3R (Pro) portable gas monitor. This docking station can be used as a stand alone device for charging, calibration and bump testing, with all records stored automatically for future upload to a PC via USB flash drive (PC software and flash drive included).

PC-Controlled Use

Automate how you manage and service GX-3R (Pro) instruments by connecting the SDM-3R to a computer with a USB cable. With the SDM Docking Station controller software, you can simultaneously calibrate, bump test, alarm check, archive data, or charge up to ten instruments. You can also download the datalogging history from each instrument into one easy to manage location. SDM-3R stations can be manifolded together to reduce the number of demand flow regulators gas cylinders required.
