Bacharach's all new GDC-350 full-featured fixed gas monitors provide superior operation - standalone or as part of a larger system utilizing the standard analog outputs. This state-of-the-art instrument can detect a wide range of gases including carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), combustible gases, refrigerants and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). The GDC-350 provides a unique two sensor interface, allowing for multiple gases to be detected with onboard or remote sensors. Sensors can be located integral to the unit or remotely allowing for sensors to be placed directly in areas where potential leaks can occur. Bacharach s proprietary calibration algorithms extend the amount of time required between calibrations, reducing maintenance costs and lowering the overall cost of ownership for non-critical applications.

The GDC-350 has all the features and functionality for any application. LED alarm indicators visually indicate when alarm conditions are met and an audible alarm alerts nearby personnel. An onboard alpha numeric display shows gas readings in real time for each sensor. Integral dry contact relays are available to drive external audible / visual alarms, activate fans, or connect to building management and control systems. Installation and maintenance is simple and easy, reducing overall system cost. A pre-wired plug-in option is available for out-of-the-box operation. Simply plug the unit into any standard AC outlet for immediate detection and protection.

Tough and reliable

The Xgard series of fixed point gas detectors is incredibly durable and reliable. The casings and materials, including weatherproof caps, are designed to protect the equipment from the harshest environments. The detectors are made from a variety of materials depending on the model: glass reinforced nylon, aluminum with polyester coating, and 316 stainless steel.

Variety of sensors

The fixed point gas detector offers a wide range of sensors for to suite almost all applications. The Xgard range of gas detectors is available in three models to meet varying worksite needs: flameproof, intrinsically safe, and safe area formats. Additionally, Xgard offers different types of fixed point gas detectors within these three models:

Cost efficient and highly effective

With quick and easy installation and maintenance, the Xgard series is able to keep costs at a minimum. The replacement sensors, for example, are simple to replace by merely plugging them in. The replacement parts are also readily available and compatible with all Xgard models, thereby reducing the amount of required spare parts that are stored in the facility. Additionally, the sensors have two times the typical life spans of similar sensors in the industry. With a 2 year life span, worksites can expect to cut their sensor replacement costs in half. For worksites that require slightly more customization, Crowcon offers compatible accessories for the Xgard series such as sampling applications, remote gassing applications, spray deflectors, sun shields, weatherproof caps, collector cones, flow adapter, and accessories adapter.

Xgard also has flexible installation options. The unit is designed for either wall or ceiling mounts, and users will not need to purchase additional equipment for mounting. For more complex installation needs, users can purchase accessories.

Specifications

Each model is approximately the same size with dimensions of 6.1 x 6.5 x 4.3 inches and weighing approximately 1 or 2 pounds. The pH 450 meter offers an IP67-rated waterproof housing, making it ideal for the manufacturing floor, field testing, and the laboratory. Rugged, Reliable, and Flexible

The detector models are constructed to withstand the abuse of hazardous work environments. The TXgard and Flamgard Plus detectors use marine grade aluminum with a stainless steel sensor housing to ensure the safety and integrity of the equipment. The TXgard-IS+ is constructed of carbon-loaded nylon. The models also feature flexible output options including 2 or 3 wire formats, optional relays for alarm and fault, and 4-20mA current sink or source. Crowcon also has a wide variety of catalytic and electrochemical gas sensors to fit these models (currently offering more than 25 individual gas sensors).

Flamgard Plus and TXgardPlus Specifications

The Flamgard Plus and TXgard Plus models are similar in size (200 x 115 x 115 mm) and weight (2.2 kilograms). However, the Flamgard Plus utilizes a catalytic bead sensor and the TXgard Plus utilizes an electrochemical sensor. Both feature an ingress protection with an IP66 weatherproof cap and 2 x M20 x ½ NPT cable entries. These models feature optional relays of SPNO or SPNC contacts rated 30 Vdc 1A (non-inductive load) for Alarm 1 and fault for Alarm 2.

For easy reading, these models have a 3 digit backlit display with and LED status indicator. The magnetically operated buttons control the calibration method and the terminals are suited for up to 1.5 mm2 cable. Both models are suited for usage in hazardous zones 1 and 2.

TXgard IS+ and Specs

The TXgard IS+ is slightly smaller than the other two models and houses an electrochemical sensor type. It is approximately 160 x 123 x 92 mm in size and .7 kilograms in weight. This unit also features an IP66 weatherproof cap for ingress protection. The display is slightly smaller than the other two models, and offers a 2 line 16 character LCD screen. The calibration method is operated via front mounted push buttons, and its terminals are suited for up to 2.5 mm2 cables. This model is appropriate for hazardous zones 0, 1, and 2, and when connected via an isolation device, the TXgard IS+ is suited for hazardous zones 20, 21, and 22.

Tailor-made gas monitoring

The X-am 2800 is small and lightweight, comfortable to wear, and easy-to-use, with large buttons for ease of use while wearing gloves. The display clearly shows important information, such as gas readings, alarms and time. The green D-light indicates that the unit is ready for use, with a simple interface. For added safety, the oxygen channel has four alarm thresholds, real pre-alarms, and main alarms for falling and rising concentrations. The X-am 2800 is approved for use in Ex zone 0, and has been tested according to protection class IP 68.

Sensors: durable and powerful

The newly-developed CatEx SR sensor calibrates within seconds and protects against shocks, measuring flammable vapors, such as gasoline, diesel, and nonane. The unit can also be set to measure methane, propane, hydrogen, and many other gases. The performance is complemented by Dräger's simple cross calibration concept, in which the measurement gas, calibration gas, and bump test gas can be specified individually. The X-am 2800 calculates the necessary conversions after testing, and the sensor meets the new IEC standard 60079-29-1 (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards.

With decades of experience in sensor technology, Draeger develops and produces the sensors itself, including the powerful and durable electrochemical sensors in the XXS format, resulting in lower operating costs.

Focus on sustainability

During the development of the X-am 2800, sustainability was priority. The durable Draeger sensors and the rechargeable power supply, which can be easily replaced with one screw, ensure a long service life. Almost all spare parts can be replaced by trained users, with remaining parts repaired by Dräger Service. In addition, the X-am 2800 is compatible with accessories from the previous series. Upon request, a reduced number of instructional manuals will be supplied, saving paper, and recycling of old devices is available.
