Sensepoint XCD

With the Sensepoint XCD detection system, Honeywell provides easy to use, low maintenance sensory devices for monitoring explosive atmospheric conditions in a variety of industrial settings. The Sensepoint XCD system monitors for explosive oxygen gas, toxic gas, and flammable conditions and constantly relays status through transmitters utilizing a simply traffic light LCD system which can be easily seen and understood from a distance.

The Sensepoint XCD system provides a catch all-detection system which has worldwide industry approvals and is compliant with all relevant standards. The unit is available in both stainless steel and aluminum housing options, both of which are resistant to explosions. The XCD transmitter systems are for three separate environmental conditions (flammable, toxic, and oxygen). Each transmitter has a variety of sensors available for use. Each transmitter will automatically recognize the sensor within its category. The plug-in design of the sensors allows users to simply plug the sensor into the transmitter. Not all gases can be monitored directly at the measuring point. This may be because the maintenance of a remote sensor would be too complicated or because the target gas has to be broken down into detectable components first. This can be done using a pyrolyzer.

Calibrations on pipettes, dispensers and graduated cylinders are performed per the procedures in ISO8655 using a precision pipette accuracy tester. Before testing, the valves and seals on pipettes and dispensers are tested for integrity using a leak tester. Variable pipettors and dispensers are measured at 3 points at 10, 50 and 100% of the maximum value. Fixed pipettors and dispensers are measured at the nominal value. Evaluation of the unit under test is done for dispensed volume and the coefficient of variability (CV) value.
