Gases are also used (or may be found) in smaller facilities such as combined heat and power plants or cold stores. A reliable gas detection system therefore makes a significant contribution to the safety of people, your equipment and the environment. We developed the GMA22-M specifically for gas measurement in these applications. Up to four transmitters and relay modules can be connected to the controller. A display indicating the measured values, integrated visual and audible alarms, and four internal relays for additional safety measures complete the GMA22-M's extensive features.

Gases need to be monitored in many processes - regardless of the size of the plant. Even in smaller applications, a gas warning system is indispensable. The GMA22-M is the ideal controller for this purpose, if

• your application uses up to four transmitters
• you need to monitor toxic and combustible gases or oxygen
• a central display of measured values is required outside hazardous areas
• internal or external relays are required for safety measures
• you want acoustic and visual alarms to be initiated if gas dangers are present

Wide range of connection options

Using its RS-485 interface, the GMA22-M can be connected to up to four transmitters. In addition to the measured values, the controller also receives digital information such as status messages and service notifications. Alternatively, transmitters can also be connected through an analog 4-20 mA or 0.2-1 mA input.

If you are using any of GfG's ACDC capable transmitters, the analog lines can also transfer digital information on the analog lines (only via 4-20 mA). Many GfG transmitters can be calibrated remotely either using ACDC or digital integration. This simplifies service work significantly, allowing it to be performed by a single technician.

Exterior features

The GMA's dimensions (97 x 140 x 50 mm) are exceptionally small, allowing it to be mounted to a wall almost anywhere. The housing is protected against the ingress of dust and splash water according to IP64, making it suitable for use in demanding external conditions.

The 2.2-inch display comes with multicolor backlight. It lights up green in normal operation and red in the event of an alarm. Alarm levels are indicated by two red LEDs. The integrated horn also gives it an additional acoustic alarm. Two further LEDs indicate the operating status and special states in green and yellow. The pushbutton interface below the display allows for intuitive operation and alarm acknowledgement.

Internal and external relays

The GMA22-M has four integrated relays for initiating safety measures. Up to four additional GMA200-RT relay modules can be connected via the RS-485 interface. With 16 floating signal change-over contacts each, the number of relays is then increased to up to 64. The GMA200Config software is used to configure the GMA22-M and the relay modules. Alarms, faults and measured values can be recorded on a microSD card using a featured data logger, if required.

The GMA22-M is available in four different versions:

Therefore, when temperature variations are caused by the weather or changes of the humidity, the measured values will be accurate.

In addition, the transmitter provides the option to transfer service, maintenance and error messages to a connected GfG gas measurement controller. The IR 22 transmitter sends the signals either through an analog 4-20 mA current interface or a digital (RS485) Modbus interface.

Flexibility for any application

The IR 22 transmitter includes the sensor, status LEDs, either an analog or a digital interface, "Zero button" to adjust the zero point, and a test socket and potentiometer for the sensor calibration.

In addition, the IR 22 can be ordered with backlit graphical display. The display shows the current gas concentration, allows access to service functions, enables operation using a membrane keypad and includes optical and acoustical signal transmitters.

With the integration of testo's core platform - the testo Smart App, paired with the testo 552i digital micron gauge via Bluetooth, evacuations on refrigeration systems and heat pumps are now fully automated. When the desired vacuum target is reached, the smart pump is stops automatically and a vacuum decay test begins. This unique feature allows technicians to confidently ensure the refrigeration circuit has no leaks - all shown live via the app. This means that evacuations can now be executed easier than ever!

Thanks to its compatibility with A2L and A3 refrigerants, the testo 565i Smart Vacuum Pump guarantees maximum safety at all times. Oil changes are simple with the clear glass indicator on the front of the pump to ensure oil is full and clean, so vacuums are reached more efficiently. The auto shutoff feature prevents the loss of vacuum in the event of a power failure by closing the valve automatically. Once power is restored, the pump can return to work and start where it left off, still maintaining the vacuum.

The RKI M2A™ is a state-of-the-art transmitter that can operate as an independent, stand-alone monitor or as part of an integrated system. The M2A connects with an analog or digital signal to virtually any controller, PLC, or DCS. Setup procedures are simplified with user friendly push buttons and OLED menus. It utilizes a magnetic wand technique for performing non-intrusive calibration. The M2A provides an automatic zero drift correction feature, which results in more stable readings and reduces the need for adjustments due to sensor aging.

The housing of the M2A does not need to be opened for zeroing or calibration, making it unnecessary to declassify the area for routine maintenance. It is designed so that a complete field calibration can be performed by one person. Sensor construction is rated Class I, Div. 1 Groups B, C, D for flammables, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2, and Class I, Div. 2 for all other toxics.

The transmitter provides a 4-20 mA output in addition to a Modbus digital output. It also has two levels of alarms with relays, plus a fail alarm with relay. A digital display of the gas concentration, as well as alarm and status lights, can be viewed through the front window.

The toxic sensors are electrochemical type plug-in sensors, which provide high specificity, fast response, and long life. The plug-in design allows quick replacement in the field with no tools required. Toxic sensors are designed for use in Class I, Div. 2 hazardous locations. Sensors available for NH3, SO2, PH3, AsH3, and HCN.
