94050 Dew Heater Ring - 6" by Celestron

The Celestron Dew Heater Ring is the ideal dew prevention solution for your Celestron telescope. This must-have accessory will improve your observing or imaging nights year-round. The Dew Heater Ring permanently mounts to your 6" Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube, replacing your retaining ring, so you'll never be caught without it. The installation process is quick and easy (follow the manual for instructions).

How it works

The Dew Heater Ring replaces the plastic retaining ring on your Schmidt corrector lens for efficient heating across the lens. The ring is constructed of lightweight, durable aluminum. Its rigid frame supports the cable circuity and the telescope's Schmidt corrector lens. Unlike other heating bands or strips that inefficiently heat the lens cell to warm the glass, the Celestron Dew Heater Ring heats the corrector glass directly, providing the most efficient transfer of heat to prevent dew formation.

Simply plug the ring into an external 12V DC power source for consistent, continuous heat that will prevent dew from forming even under heavy dew conditions. The Dew Heater Ring features two storage clips to keep the power and thermistor jacks secure when not in use while accommodating the telescope's dust cover.

The Dew Heater Ring also comes with a cable management clip that connects to the telescope's front cell. Corral the power and thermistor jack to prevent them from dangling and reduce unwanted pulls on the cable connection to the rings.

The Dew Heater Ring comes complete with:

• Dew Heater Ring
• Cable management clip
• Power jack extension cable
• Paper installation shield

Enhance your setup

To achieve the highest level of dew prevention while maximizing power efficiency, we strongly recommend pairing the Dew Heater Ring with a Smart DewHeater Controller (sold separately). The controller uses the ring's built-in thermistor and its internal environmental sensor to provide just the right amount of heat to the corrector to prevent dew based upon the ambient temperature, ambient humidity, and temperature of the Schmidt corrector, which can dramatically reduce the ring's power draw, greatly increasing battery life. The ring also includes an extension cable for connecting the ring directly to one of the controllers' heater output ports, or to a third-party controller's heater output port. (Note: the ring's integrated thermistor is only compatible with the Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers).

We also recommend adding a dew shield to your setup. While not mandatory, a shield will cut down on the amount of power the Dew Heater Ring needs to keep the optics clear.

• Heater ring provides the most efficient heating directly to the corrector lens to prevent the formation of dew
• Permanently mounts to your existing telescope tube for a seamless look—plus, you'll never forget to bring it with you
• Integrated thermistor continuously monitors the temperature of the corrector lens when used with the Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers.
• Rigid, lightweight, and durable aluminum construction
• Included storage clip and cable management clip keep your cables organized

6PIIFCE Conductivity/pH/ORP/TDS/Temperature/Resistivity Meter by Myron L

Since 1957, the Myron L® Company has designed and manufactured highly reliable analytical instruments for a wide variety of applications. Thousands of professionals around the world rely every day on the performance of our instruments. Demanding uses range from boiler water testing to ultrapure water control to medical instruments for artificial kidney machines.

We are proud of the trust our handheld instruments and monitor/controllers have earned in the past. Our product line has evolved to a new level of outstanding performance and value in analytical instruments: the Ultrameter II series. While priced like affordable single parameter instruments, the Ultrameter II does the job of three, four or even six instruments.

NEW! FC^E FAC Function

The Myron L® Company FC^E function reports FAC quickly and accurately by measuring ORP, the chemical characteristic of chlorine that directly reflects its effectivity, cross referenced with pH. Both DPD kits and colorimeters may tell the user the FAC value of the sample in the test tube, but since the chemistry of that sample is quite different from the source water being analyzed, the results are imprecisely related to actual disinfection power. The Myron L® Company FC^E function measures the real, unaltered chemistry of source water, including moment-to-moment changes in that chemistry.

Accuracy You Can Trust

Both Ultrameter II models deliver performance of ±1% of reading (not merely full scale). This high level of accuracy has been achieved through advanced four-electrode conductivity cell technology, a unique pH/ORP sensor and powerful microprocessor-based circuitry. With displayed values of up to 9999, the full four-digit LCD ensures resolution levels never before possible in such affordable instruments. Factory calibrated with NIST traceable solutions, each Ultrameter II may be supplied with both certification of traceability and NIST traceable solutions for definitive calibration.

Innovative Engineering

The Ultrameter II is a prime example of how high-tech engineering can greatly simplify and streamline a task. Whether in the lab, industrial plant, or in a remote field location, merely:

• Fill the cell cup
• Push a parameter key
• Take the reading

Temperature compensation and range selection are both rapid and automatic. The Ultrameter II is a true onehand operation instrument.

Easy to Calibrate

All calibrations are quickly accomplished by pressing the ▲ or ▼ keys to agree with our NIST traceable Standard Solution. When calibration is necessary, display prompts simplify pH calibration and make sure the correct buffer is being used. Plus, all parameters (excluding factory-set temperature) have an internal electronic setting that can be used for field calibration and as a check on pH/ORP sensor life.

Features

• Choice of KCl, NaCl, and 442™ Natural Water Standards
• ORP mV to ppm free chlorine conversion (6PFC^E)
• pH/ORP Sensor protective cap (6PFC^E)
• Four-digit display for full 9999 readings, with autoranging capability up to 200 mS/200 ppt
• Powerful microprocessor based surface-mount circuitry
• Display prompts for simple pH calibration
• Real Time Clock
• Memory for 100 readings with Date & Time Stamp
• Factory calibrations stored in microprocessor

Advanced Features

• 3 solution standards for greatest accuracy in diverse applications
• Fully automatic temperature compensation
• User adjustable temperature compensation (up to 9.99%/°C) which also allows TC to be disabled for applications requiring non-compensated readings.
• User adjustable conductivity/TDS conversion ratio for greater accuracy when measuring solutions not contained in the microprocessor.
• Auto-shutoff maximizes the life of the single 9V battery to more than 100 hours/5000 tests.
• Non-volatile microprocessor provides data back-up, even when the battery is changed. This assures all calibrations and memory data will be retained.
• Extended life pH/ORP sensor is user replaceable in the field.

Multiple Applications

• Hydroponics
• Laboratories
• Wastewater
• Reverse Osmosis
• Deionization
• Cooling Towers
• Environmental
• Desalination
