Features

An accurate and reliable gas detection system is the most important safety instrument when working in mining, construction, fire and emergency services, confined spaces, and other potentially dangerous settings. The GasAlertClip Extreme is designed to withstand the harshest of environments and deliver consistently reliable alerts for up to 3 years. The durable outer casing protects the internal sensors from damage and renders the unit water resistant.

To ensure reliability and effectiveness, users can perform periodic self-tests of sensors, batteries, circuits, and alarms. The unit also performs a self-test upon activation and every 20 hours. Additionally, the battery is automatically tested every 2 hours to ensure the user can rely on the unit's warnings.

Maintenance free

The GasAlertClip Extreme also features maintenance free technology that is user friendly and easy to understand. The clip is available in both 2 year and 3 year versions. During the instrument's lifespan, the device will not require calibration tests, sensor replacement, batter replacement, or recharging of batteries. Users will find the GasAlertClip Extreme to be easy to use and with minimal training requirements. The various clips for different gases also feature color coded labels to distinguish between different gas detectors and LCD indicators. Users will also be able to manage alarm settings with ease and view information on the large LCD display such as the remaining life of the device and visual alarm bars.

Datalogging and alarms

Record keeping is a standard feature of the GasAlertClip Exteme. The clip will automatically record and transmit gas alarm events. This can provide valuable information to worksite managers assessing gas trends in various worksites. The alarm system includes visual alarms, vibrating alarms, and audible alarms of over 95 decibels. Workers with hearing or visual impairments or workers in loud settings will find the triple alarm system to be a valuable safety feature.

Compatibility and accessories

The GasAlertClip Extreme is compatible with a variety of test systems and accessories. The MicroDock II is a compatible automatic testing system. Accessories such as the concussion-proof boot, bulk packaging, and IR DataLink are also available. At 2.7 ounces and approximately 1 inch by 2 inches by 3 inches, the device is highly portable, lightweight, and comfortable to wear. The typical battery life is 2 or 3 years, depending on the version of the device, and the GasAlertClip Extreme is standard with a 2 to 3 year warranty from the date of activation.
