The New Observer USB is a free version of the Observer software that runs on Windows®. It can be used with The Ranger, The Ranger EXP, & The Monitor 200 Radiation Detectors. The Observer USB reads in Counts, CPM, and CPS, as well as μR/hr, mR/hr, and μSv/hr and has the ability to collect, log, and perform statistical analysis on the data received. Dosi-Lite for Pen Dosimeters by SE International

The Dosi-Lite provides illumination for a Direct-Reading Dosimeter in low light conditions which is held directly in front of the eye for viewing. The Dosi-Lite comprises of a light-emitting diode (LED) enclosed in a thimble-shaped flexible plastic casing, which slides onto the end of a dosimeter. When the user squeezes the casing, the leads are brought into contact with the batteries, thereby completing the circuit, lighting the LED, and illuminating the Direct-Reading Dosimeter.

The Dosi-Lite is designed for personnel that spend extended periods in areas with lighting which is insufficient or inconvenient for reading the Direct-Reading Dosimeter, thus running the risk of being exposed to excessive radiation before taking the next reading. The Dosi-Lite provides a convenient illuminating device for Direct-Reading Dosimeters that fits onto the end of a Direct-Reading Dosimeter.

RAP640 Scintillation Probe by SE International

The CsI (Tl) crystal used in Radiation Alert® Probes has a higher atomic number, is more rugged, and less hygroscopic than a typical Nal detector. The improved gamma ray absorption allows a thinner crystal to be used, effectively reducing the background count rate.

Superior to a 1 x 1-inch NaI detector, this is a great choice for an all-around gamma and x-ray detector. Optimal energy range of about 20 keV to 2 MeV. Highest efficiency for a broad spectrum of gamma-emitting isotopes.

Sentry EC Personal Alarming Dosimeter and Rate Meter by SE International

The Radiation Alert® Sentry EC is a Personal Alarming Dosimeter / Ratemeter designed to ensure the safety of personnel that work in occupations with potential x-ray or gamma exposure.

The pocket sized unit has an energy compensated tube for a linear response to gamma and built in memory for recording data points for tracking accumulated exposure. The SentryCom Software option enables you to generate incident reconstruction for analysis. The software also permits you to easily set the vibrating and audio alert to your desired levels for dose and dose rate.

Use the audio switch to choose between audible clicks with each count recieved or a discreet silent mode.

The optional SentryCom Software enables you to easily integrate The Sentry into your radiation safety program by allowing you to select the thresholds for dose and dose rate alarms/warnings. You can set the Cal Factor, and the data logging frequency, and download the accumulated dose data as a text file. The report includes a delimited time and date stamp, exposure, and power cycle identifiers for easy recording and incident analysis in most spreadsheet programs. Units of measurement can be changed between mR/hr and ?Sv/hr to fit your application and reporting needs.

GammaPAL Radiation Alert Portable Analysis Lab by SE International

The GammaPAL is a complete measuring system for analyzing radiation contamination in milk, meat, fish, grain, fruit, and vegetables, as well as in air swipes, soil samples, and other materials. Our GM based detectors are ideal for a number of applications, ranging from surface contamination and sampling to personal and environmental monitoring. For detecting contamination in food, soil, and water and to accurately quantify and qualify the results, you need a scintillation detector. Many scintillation devices with this capacity cost upwards of tens of thousands of dollars. The GammaPAL can provide these capabilities for much less.

Radioactive material in the sample is detected with a 2x2 sodium iodide scintillation probe using a Marinelli geometry for soil, water, and bulk samples or a 2-inch filter geometry for wipes and air samples.The 500ml beaker is placed in a 1-inch thick lead shield. Depending on the sampling time and the isotope, the detection limit is approximately 2.5-100 Bq/l and can easily identify concentrations of Iodine 131, Cesium 134, and Cesium 137.
