The RKI Direct Connect Sensors series gas sensors are state of the art gas detection sensors available for LEL, H2 Specific LEL, LEL IR, Oxygen, H2S, CO, CO2, and a variety of toxic gases. To use the Direct Connect Sensors, they can be used for remote detection by mounting them onto explosion proof junction boxes, or they can mount directly onto controllers and be used as a completely standalone system. Their unique plugin design allows for a quick and easy tool free installation on jobsites.

Detection solutions for a variety of hazardous environments

The Direct Connect Sensors are designed to be use in both indoor and outdoor settings. Additionally, some of the sensors are available in explosion proof models. The explosion proof models utilize a patented coating which serves double duty as also being water repellant. Users can also purchase splash guards to protect the sensors from very wet conditions.

Each sensor is crafted with stainless steel and housed in cast aluminum (stainless steel housing is available for some sensors). For hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, the sensors utilize electrochemical technology which provides incredibly specific accuracy and quick response. Non-explosion proof uses a galvanic sensor for oxygen; electrochemical sensors for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases; and infrared for carbon dioxide. The GX-2009 is the smallest 4 gas portable monitor in the world. The RP-2009 is a compact, battery operated, motorized sample drawing pump which attaches to the GX-2009 to change it from diffusion operation to sample drawing operation. Together the model RP-2009 pump assembly and the GX-2009 gas monitor make a complete solution for confined space entry.

The RP-2009 is housed in a rugged plastic case with a quick disconnect fitting for hose attachment, and it is provided with a hose and probe. Standard hose length is 10 feet, and lengths up to 30 feet are available. Then probe is equipped with an internal dust filter and clear body for easy viewing. The RP-2009 will operate for up to 5 hours on one AA battery. The pump quickly and firmly snaps over the sensor area of the GX-2009 gas monitor, and removes easily when sampling is completed. No tools are required.

A push button ON/OFF switch is used to activate the RP-2009, and a green power light is illuminated when it is on. If a low flow condition occurs, from either a flow blockage or a low battery, an red flashing LED is activated and an audible alarm will sound. For added versatility, the RP-2009 pump assembly is also available for use with our model GX-2001 gas monitor.

A perfect low cost solution for hydrogen detection in battery rooms, or for LEL or PPM level detection of a variety of flammable or solvent vapors in general industry.

The Model PS 2 is a multipurpose gas monitor utilizing a MOS (metal oxide sensor) for long lasting and low maintenance detection at the LEL or PPM levels of many gases or vapors. The PS 2 has two alarm levels for increasing gas or vapor levels, at the PPM level for detection of many solvent vapors, or for LEL level detection of flammable vapors. Inquire at the factory for your specific requirement. Each alarm level activates a 12 amp relay inside the unit, and terminals are provided for wiring the relay to activate an external alarm device or some other device such as a ventilation fan.

This stand alone unit is housed in a durable plastic enclosure with flanges provided for wall mounting and is designed with easy access wiring hubs on the bottom of the unit. The front of the PS 2 contains three lights; Pilot, Alarm 1, and Alarm 2. An internal audible alarm (85 db) activates in a gas alarm condition.

The standard PS 2 is supplied with the gas sensor located on the end of a 30 foot cable (other cable lengths are also available). Each unit is powered by 115 VAC standard or 24 VDC as standard (48 VDC versions optional), and the AC version comes complete with a 6' power cord.
