GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector

The GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector is a new smart gas detection transmitter that monitors combustibles, oxygen, and a wide range of toxic gases. The unit can be used as a standalone device, integrated with other PLC systems, or integrated with RKI's Beacon series of single and multi-channel controllers. Its common platform integrates numerous detection methods and requires very little maintenance.

Exclusive Features

The plug and play intelligent sensors make for easy setup and calibration by internally retaining calibration and sensor data. This allows workers to replace sensors while in the field without the need to reprogram the equipment. For little maintenance and optimal reliability, the internal technology automatically adjusts for long-term zero and span drift. The pump flow is also self-tuning for low maintenance functioning. In general, the smart sensors use electrochemical cell detection, semiconductor detection, pyrolysis-particle detection, galvanic cell detection, and catalytic combustion detection.

The GD-70D Series features a large LCD display that easily reads all notifications and provides a color coded graph for alarm status (first and second alarms are red, and fault alarms are yellow). The LCD screen displays the pyrolyzer connection, gas concentration, detection unit of measurement, the detected gas, the maintenance status, sensor identification, the flow rate, a graph of gas concentration, error codes, and alarm points. All operational settings are completely user adjustable from the front panel. The unit also has a self-diagnosing function which detects sensor trouble and system failure. The Intelligent Gas Detector has a convenient troubleshoot feature through its firmware. This allows users to investigate and resolve their own equipment issues while minimizing maintenance costs.

Specifications

The Intelligent Gas Detector is a convenient size for workplace and wall space efficiency with dimensions of 2.8"D x 4.7"H x 5.9"D and weighs approximately 2 pounds. It can be mounted to a wall easily with a base plate and 2 or 3 screws. Sensor replacements and pump replacements can be performed quick and easily without tools.

72-2120A-102 Digester Gas Analyzer, 100%vol CH4 by RKI Instruments

RKI is proud to introduce our Digester Gas Monitor. Gas from waste digesters contains high levels of methane, CO2, and H2S, with little to no oxygen present. The RKI gas monitor checks for all these gases on a cyclic basis. A powerful air aspirator draws a sample from up to 100 feet away. Since digester gas contains high humidity and high H2S, both of which can cause damage to sampling systems, the RKI Digester Gas Monitor is designed to handle these with no damage to the sampling system or sensors. The sample is passed through a series of dirt, dust, and moisture stopping filters, and these filters are automatically purged with fresh air at the end of each cycle.

Measurement time is just 4 minutes, taken at periodic cycles. Cycle time is selectable, with settings for cycle time of 15 minute, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours. A cycle can also be initiated anytime by pressing a button. After each cycle, the sensors and sampling system are flushed with fresh air so as to minimize corrosion caused by the high H2S content. The system is fault tolerant minimizing the possibility of expensive repairs or downtime.

System integrity is maintained at all times using a flow fail monitoring device which provides a fail alarm and relay if there is ever a problem with the flow system, such as a blockage, or if the air aspirator compressed air supply is removed or interrupted.

The system is housed in a wall mounting NEMA 4X enclosure. The gas readings can be viewed through the enclosure door clear window. Flow meters and filters are easily visible for confirmation of correct flows and operation. The RKI Digester Gas Monitor contains adjustable alarm levels for each gas, and also programmable alarm relays. In addition, the unit provides 4-20mA signals for each gas concentration for connection to an external DCS, PLC, or other site control system. A Modbus output is also available. The outputs are the readings received from the last cycle taken.

Enjoy the view with Celestron's Omni 56mm eyepiece – a low power wide-field 2" eyepiece with superior light transmission. This 4-element, fully multi-coated Plössl design offers a 47º apparent field of view–a great combination of low magnification and wide field of view. The Omni 56mm is perfect for viewing deep sky objects, such as star clusters (like the Pleadies), nebulae (like the Lagoon and Orion Nebulae), and galaxies (like the Andromeda Galaxy), in telescopes with a longer focal length, like Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrains and EdgeHDs. Without low power and a wide field, you won't be able to see some of the most spectacular objects in the night sky entirely in the field of view. Body

The Omni 56mm eyepiece comes with a black painted internal barrel and baffles to cut down on internal light reflection for a high-contrast viewing experience. Lens edges are also blackened for maximum contrast. Its mounting barrel is threaded to accept 2" filters and is compatible with 2" star diagonals and focusers. The barrel is also notched to prevent the eyepiece from falling out of the focuser if the securing thumbscrews become loose. On the exterior of the eyepiece, you will find an integrated knurled rubber grip ring for non-slip handling during observing sessions.

Viewing through the Omni 2" eyepiece is comfortable for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers alike, thanks to the fold-down rubber eyeguard and generous 52mm eye relief.
