GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector

The GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector is a new smart gas detection transmitter that monitors combustibles, oxygen, and a wide range of toxic gases. The unit can be used as a standalone device, integrated with other PLC systems, or integrated with RKI's Beacon series of single and multi-channel controllers. Its common platform integrates numerous detection methods and requires very little maintenance.

Exclusive Features

The plug and play intelligent sensors make for easy setup and calibration by internally retaining calibration and sensor data. This allows workers to replace sensors while in the field without the need to reprogram the equipment. For little maintenance and optimal reliability, the internal technology automatically adjusts for long-term zero and span drift. The pump flow is also self-tuning for low maintenance functioning. In general, the smart sensors use electrochemical cell detection, semiconductor detection, pyrolysis-particle detection, galvanic cell detection, and catalytic combustion detection.

The GD-70D Series features a large LCD display that easily reads all notifications and provides a color coded graph for alarm status (first and second alarms are red, and fault alarms are yellow). The LCD screen displays the pyrolyzer connection, gas concentration, detection unit of measurement, the detected gas, the maintenance status, sensor identification, the flow rate, a graph of gas concentration, error codes, and alarm points. All operational settings are completely user adjustable from the front panel. The unit also has a self-diagnosing function which detects sensor trouble and system failure. The Intelligent Gas Detector has a convenient troubleshoot feature through its firmware. This allows users to investigate and resolve their own equipment issues while minimizing maintenance costs.

Specifications

The Intelligent Gas Detector is a convenient size for workplace and wall space efficiency with dimensions of 2.8 D x 4.7 H x 5.9 D and weighs approximately 2 pounds. Enhanced carrying system

By utilizing the state-of-the-art pressure mapping technology, we have developed a carrying system which follows the natural contours of the body and provides improved stability and reduced back strain, stress, and fatigue. The contoured carrying harness provides maximum comfort at both the shoulders and the waist, but optimizes load distribution comfortably and securely, in line with the body's center of gravity. Integrated hoses

Both the medium pressure air supply and gauge hoses are integrated into the carrying-frame to reduce the risk of snagging and entanglement, which results in improved security and safety while entering and working in confined spaces. With the ability to re-route these hoses from one side to the other, in order to suit customer preferences for gauge access, this design feature also facilitates the easy replacement of each hose.

Easy to maintain and service

Quick and uncomplicated to service, the breathing apparatus Draeger PSS® 3000 incorporates a number of unique design features to ensure that downtime, and therefore costs, are kept to a minimum during maintenance. All the major components are simple and quick to remove and re-assemble. The harness is attached to the carrying frame by an innovative single-piece retention method. Innovative harness system provides unmatched comfort and durability

The Draeger PSS 7000 SCBA is designed so the heaviest components sit at a lower center of gravity to increase stability and balance, allowing the wearer to work more effectively with less fatigue. The PSS 7000 includes an adjustable harness suspension system that provides the ultimate in comfort and extended wear. Durable webbing and advanced compression-molded comfort padding offer up to 6.5-times higher abrasion resistance than traditional padding. The material surface is easy to clean and disinfect with a highl resistance to chemical and mechanical damage.

The harness has a high-grip, anti-slip inner surface that stays securely in place without a chest strap or having to over-tighten the shoulder straps. Cooling channels in the shoulder straps and waist belt reduce the likelihood of compression burns. A stainless-steel, harness-friction buckle makes the SCBA easy to don and doff.

Ergonomic three-position backplate allows freedom of movement

The Draeger PSS 7000 is designed to move with the wearer allowing unrestricted movement while walking, crawling, or climbing. The backplate automatically lengthens and pivots to mirror wearer movements. The unique, self-adjusting and pivoting waist belt keeps the SCBA on the hips when a firefighter reaches, preventing your coat from riding up.

To reduce back strain, the SCBA's weight is designed to ride on the hips. The three-position, carbon-fiber composite backplate adjusts to comfortably fit different torso lengths.

A slide-and-lock harness mechanism allows the harness and waist belt to be connected or removed from the backplate quickly without tools. To minimize the risk of snagging or damage, supply hoses are integrated neatly into the backplate.

Rapid, secure cylinder change-outs save precious time

The PSS 7000 has a lock-and-load system that lets colleagues securely change out cylinders quickly. A proven, quarter-turn QuickConnect adapter allows quick and easy attachment of the cylinder to the reducer, saving time compared to conventional threaded reducer hand-wheel-and-cylinder CGA connections. QuickConnect features a safety interlock system that prevents disconnection at pressures above approximately 70 psi.
