Robust housing for every application

The transmitters of the 33 series are flameproof encapsulated and fulfill the requirements of the type of protection "d". Depending on the application, you can choose the 33 transmitter with an epoxy-based aluminum or a pure stainless steel housing. In order to meet the quality requirements of our customers and our own standards in terms of durability, we use a particularly high-quality and durable Viton seal in the 33 series. This can withstand even the toughest operating conditions for many years.

Variants

GfG offers the CC 33 in two variants:

For conventional industrial The CC 33 is available in a lacquered die-cast aluminum housing with 10mm thick bulletproof glass. Applications with special conditions such as e.g. in the Food industry can be covered by a unpainted housing made of stainless steel with a 15mm thick bulletproof glass.

Operation by means of magnetic pin

The three magnetic switches behind the protective glass, which is up to 15mm thick, can be operated using the GfG magnetic pin. The GfG typical three-button operation is easy to understand. The menu is clearly structured and logically structured.

All transmitters of the 22, 29 and 33 series have a uniform user interface. The uniform operation and the logical system structure keep your training and maintenance effort as low as possible.

Proven and innovative is not a contradiction

The CC 33 works on the principle of catalytic heat generation (WT), a proven method for measuring combustible gases. The transmitters are equipped with high-performance electronics for voltage stabilization, processing of measured value output and temperature compensation. The long life of the sensors minimizes follow-up costs.

Sensor technology

With improved sensor technology and the unique GfG "chimney effect", the CC 33 transmitter for combustible gases has one of the fastest response times in the world. There are more crucial seconds left to initiate countermeasures and to bring people to safety.

Universal signal transmission

The measured values and status displays of the 33 series can be transmitted either analog or digital via the Modbus interface. Due to the different variants of signal transmission, a transmitter of the 33 series can be connected to almost any gas warning system as an additional measuring point or in exchange for existing transducers.

Signal processing

The embedded software of the 33 transmitter linearises the measurement signal and compensates for temperature influences. As a result, correct measured values are transmitted even in the event of weather-related temperature fluctuations. The execution of the software enables the detection of faults and, in the Modbus variant, the requirement of required service or maintenance work.

Smart sensors

Pre-calibrated sensor modules can be screwed directly into the sensor receptacle on the housing of the CC 33. The smart GfG sensors are pre-programmed with all the necessary parameters and can be used without much effort ("plug and play"). Sensor changes are shown in the display. Three freely programmable internal relays

The 33er transmitters can be used as a "stand-alone system". You can set the two alarm thresholds individually and freely program the optional three relays. You do not need a cable to a controller and you can nevertheless reliably switch safety-related devices.

With colored graphic display

The clearly laid-out graphic display makes it easy to read the device status, the current measured value and many other important information. In the event of an alarm, the display turns red. The large LEDs signal from a distance the current device status and thus serve the rapid information of your employees about any alarms or malfunctions.

Using the display, you can easily navigate through the clear device menu and make various settings, including calibration, depending on your user authorization.

Calibration

For regular function control with gas application, a calibration adapter is placed on the transmitter to ensure a safe and even gas supply.

S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The RKI S2 Sensors and Transmitters use state of the art sensor technology to detect common gas hazards. Their efficient design and cost effectiveness make them an industry choice for atmospheric monitoring. The sensor transmitters can be used in both indoor and outdoor conditions and are designed to interface with RKI controllers or PLC/DCS systems.

The sensors are available in explosion proof casing for monitoring LEL, H2 specific, oxygen, H2S, CO2, and carbon monoxide. These sensors also have flame arrestors and are approved for use in hazardous environments. The oxygen, H2S, CO, and CO2 sensors are available in non-explosion proof models. The sensors provide highly specific and quick detection and are long lasting. The sensors can be quickly replaced while on the field and do not require any tools.

Explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The explosion proof sensors use a variety of detection mechanisms including catalytic for LEL and LEL- H2 specific; metal oxide semiconductor for hydrogen; galvanic cell technology for oxygen; electrochemical for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide; and infrared for carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons. A hydrogen specific sensor transmitter is not available. Each of these detection methods come with their own measuring range specifications and response times varying from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. These sensors are stainless steel and are housed in a cast aluminum explosion proof J-Box (a stainless steel J-Box is also available).

Non-explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The non-explosion proof sensors use galvanic cells for oxygen detection; electrochemical technology for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other toxics; and infrared technology for carbon dioxide detection. The response times vary between 20 seconds and 60 seconds depending on the targeted gas, and the measuring ranges vary as well. These sensors are plastic or aluminum and housed in an explosion proof J-Box.

Accessories

The S2 Sensor/Transmitter has numerous accessories available to meet the individual workplace's needs. Such accessories include calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and data loggers.

Robust housing for every application

The transmitters of the 33 series are flameproof encapsulated and fulfill the requirements of the type of protection "d". Depending on the application, you can choose the 33 transmitter with an epoxy-based aluminum or a pure stainless steel housing. In order to meet the quality requirements of our customers and our own standards in terms of durability, we use a particularly high-quality and durable Viton seal in the 33 series. This can withstand even the toughest operating conditions for many years.

Variants

GfG offers the CC 33 in two variants:

For conventional industrial The CC 33 is available in a lacquered die-cast aluminum housing with 10mm thick bulletproof glass. Applications with special conditions such as e.g. in the Food industry can be covered by a unpainted housing made of stainless steel with a 15mm thick bulletproof glass.

Operation by means of magnetic pin

The three magnetic switches behind the protective glass, which is up to 15mm thick, can be operated using the GfG magnetic pin. The GfG typical three-button operation is easy to understand. The menu is clearly structured and logically structured.

All transmitters of the 22, 29 and 33 series have a uniform user interface. The uniform operation and the logical system structure keep your training and maintenance effort as low as possible.

Proven and innovative is not a contradiction

The CC 33 works on the principle of catalytic heat generation (WT), a proven method for measuring combustible gases. The transmitters are equipped with high-performance electronics for voltage stabilization, processing of measured value output and temperature compensation. The long life of the sensors minimizes follow-up costs.

Sensor technology

With improved sensor technology and the unique GfG "chimney effect", the CC 33 transmitter for combustible gases has one of the fastest response times in the world. There are more crucial seconds left to initiate countermeasures and to bring people to safety.

Universal signal transmission

The measured values and status displays of the 33 series can be transmitted either analog or digital via the Modbus interface. Due to the different variants of signal transmission, a transmitter of the 33 series can be connected to almost any gas warning system as an additional measuring point or in exchange for existing transducers.

Signal processing

The embedded software of the 33 transmitter linearises the measurement signal and compensates for temperature influences. As a result, correct measured values are transmitted even in the event of weather-related temperature fluctuations. The execution of the software enables the detection of faults and, in the Modbus variant, the requirement of required service or maintenance work.

Smart sensors

Pre-calibrated sensor modules can be screwed directly into the sensor receptacle on the housing of the CC 33. The smart GfG sensors are pre-programmed with all the necessary parameters and can be used without much effort ("plug and play"). Sensor changes are shown in the display. Three freely programmable internal relays

The 33er transmitters can be used as a "stand-alone system". You can set the two alarm thresholds individually and freely program the optional three relays. You do not need a cable to a controller and you can nevertheless reliably switch safety-related devices.

With colored graphic display

The clearly laid-out graphic display makes it easy to read the device status, the current measured value and many other important information. In the event of an alarm, the display turns red. The large LEDs signal from a distance the current device status and thus serve the rapid information of your employees about any alarms or malfunctions.

Using the display, you can easily navigate through the clear device menu and make various settings, including calibration, depending on your user authorization.

Calibration

For regular function control with gas application, a calibration adapter is placed on the transmitter to ensure a safe and even gas supply.

GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector

The GD-70D Series Intelligent Gas Detector is a new smart gas detection transmitter that monitors combustibles, oxygen, and a wide range of toxic gases. The unit can be used as a standalone device, integrated with other PLC systems, or integrated with RKI's Beacon series of single and multi-channel controllers. Its common platform integrates numerous detection methods and requires very little maintenance.

Exclusive Features

The plug and play intelligent sensors make for easy setup and calibration by internally retaining calibration and sensor data. This allows workers to replace sensors while in the field without the need to reprogram the equipment. For little maintenance and optimal reliability, the internal technology automatically adjusts for long-term zero and span drift. The pump flow is also self-tuning for low maintenance functioning. In general, the smart sensors use electrochemical cell detection, semiconductor detection, pyrolysis-particle detection, galvanic cell detection, and catalytic combustion detection.

The GD-70D Series features a large LCD display that easily reads all notifications and provides a color coded graph for alarm status (first and second alarms are red, and fault alarms are yellow). The LCD screen displays the pyrolyzer connection, gas concentration, detection unit of measurement, the detected gas, the maintenance status, sensor identification, the flow rate, a graph of gas concentration, error codes, and alarm points. All operational settings are completely user adjustable from the front panel. The unit also has a self-diagnosing function which detects sensor trouble and system failure. The Intelligent Gas Detector has a convenient troubleshoot feature through its firmware. This allows users to investigate and resolve their own equipment issues while minimizing maintenance costs.

Specifications

The Intelligent Gas Detector is a convenient size for workplace and wall space efficiency with dimensions of 2.8 D x 4.7 H x 5.9 D and weighs approximately 2 pounds. It can be mounted to a wall easily with a base plate and 2 or 3 screws. Sensor replacements and pump replacements can be performed quick and easily without tools.
