M-512193 Manning AirScan IRF9 Transmitter, Carbon dioxide (CO2), 0-10,000 ppm, ATMOS, super heat, stainless steel enclosure by Honeywell Analytics

The industrial refrigeration industry is changing rapidly. The manufacture of R-22 and other HCFCs are being phased out. Influential organizations such as EPA and CARB (California Air Resources Board) are enforcing lower level monitoring requirements. Manufacturers of cooling systems are introducing new equipment that runs on 407a, 422d, 410a, HFO-1234yf, NH3 and CO2. In step with these changes, EPA fines have escalated for anyone venting ozone-depleting gases. What's your best move? Contact Honeywell Analytics to learn how to detect for these new refrigerants. With Honeywell Analytics, you can green the environment—and green your bottom line.

Honeywell Analytics Infrared monitoring solutions are designed to help your plant operate more efficiently and cost effectively. Unlike sample draw systems which take longer to pinpoint a gas leak, our diffusion sensing technology cuts downtime and the cost of expensive refrigerant replacement. Other technological advantages include flexible standalone or networkable configurations, long operating life expectancy (10+ years); fewer calibration requirements; self-monitoring SensorCheck technology; EPA compliance including newer requirements set by CARB (California Air Resources Board); and accurate, reliable response to the most common refrigerant gases used in industrial or commercial processes.

Refrigerant Specific

• Rapid response to refrigerants including R-404a, R-22, R-507a, R-134a, R-407a, R-410a, R-422d, HFO-1234yf, NH3 and CO2
• Internal monitoring of 4/20 mA loop circuitry continuously
• Compliant with new monitoring standards set by CARB

Diffusion-Design Sensor

• Has no moving parts and doesn't require pumps or filters
• All points of detection can be monitored continuously at an affordable cost

Versatility

• Can be used with any Honeywell Analytics readout
• Standard range of 0-3,000 ppm, can be rescaled for lower trip points
• Provides a linear output of 4/20 mA as a function of refrigerant concentration
• Simple, real-time calibration eliminates maintenance downtime
• Automatically adapts to fluctuating temperatures

Long-Lasting Performance

• Unique internal reference channel compensates for dust particles, source degradation, humidity and temperature fluctuation, food odors, chemical cleaners, etc.

ATMOS™ Technology

• Allows for operation down to -60°F and in condensing humidity environments or during washdown
• Automatically adapts to its environment and provides accurate and reliable performance under the harshest conditions

SensorCheck™ Technology

• Checks operating parameters of sensors and sends a notification output signal if an anomaly is identified
• Tests the sensor every 24 hours for electrical viability
• Indication can be detected by a Manning gas monitor or PLC

Housing

• High-mass metal bench provides structural and thermal stability and greater immunity to vibration
• Superior EMI/RFI shielding

Applications

• Banana and Produce Rooms
• Beverage Plants
• Wineries and Breweries
• Confined Space Entry
• Food Processing
• Gas Bottling Plants
• Ice Rinks
• Product Coolers

6400-0019 MGS-250 Infrared R404A Replacement Detector by Bacharach

Bacharach's new MGS-250 Infrared Refrigerant Gas Transmitter is the leader in performance and flexibility at an economical price. There are two versions available - a cost-effective broadband sensor used for gross leak detection or gas-particular versions that are even more distinct, pre-calibrated and characterized for response to specific refrigerants. Its simple-to-use interface gives the user the ability to set all parameters and outputs without opening the unit, moving jumpers, using mulitmeters or adjusting potentiometers.

The MGS-250 family is a cost effective solution for detecting a variety of refrigerants without the limitations posed by solid-state sensor technologies. The long-life, proprietary NDIR infrared sensor allows for accurate low-level leak detection (0-3,500 ppm), delivering up to 5-7 years of maintenance-free operation without the need for costly annual gas calibrations. Infrared sensing technology makes the MGS-250 immune to cross sensitivities to combustible and toxic gas as well as changes in temperature and humidity. The unit has an alpha-numeric LED display to show constant real-time readings, an on-board LED indicator for when the sensor is in an alarm state, and an audible alarm to alert personnel in the area that levels have exceeded the desired limit. An optional protective splash guard is available for use in areas with high water spray such as food and beverage facilities or chiller rooms.

Features & Benefits:

• Long-life, Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensor allows for accurate low-level leak detection
• Detects all refrigerants (CFC, HFCs, HCFC, HFO's), including HFO1234YF, HFO1234ZE, R410a & R22
• Fast-responding, refrigerant-specific sensor with no cross interferences to other gases
• No field calibrations required
• Modbus RTU interface to connect to BAS/BMS systems and on-board alarm relay
• User selectable analog output: 4-20 mA, 0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V, 2-10V
• Bright, alpha-numeric LED real-time display with on-board audible and visual alarms

Sperian Biosystems PhD6 Multigas Detector

The Biosystems PhD6 Multigas Detector is the latest development in compact multigas detection systems. The detector is proven to be compact, efficient, and cost effective. With dual alarm systems featuring ultra-loud audible indicators and ultra-bright LED visual indicators, users and those nearby are always notified when potential hazards may be present. When developing this detector, the engineers at SperianProtection Instrumentation also developed an express docking station that would reduce calibration time and labor costs. The detection and docking station help users meet record keeping requirements and reduce the risks of human error. With the SperianBiosystems PhD6 Multigas Detector, users can rest assured that they are receiving the very best in gas detection technology.

Key Features

The Biosystems PhD6 Multigas Detector is compatible with over 19 sensor choices including:

• PID
• IR-CO2
• IR-CH4
• Conventional LEL
• Oxygen
• 15 different toxic gas sensors

The gas detector is encased in a durable solid polycarbonate case with a rubber over mold for easy handling. It has an interchangeable battery pack with both Alkaline and Li-Ion rechargeable batteries. Both battery types offer up to 24 hour run times. The unit features dual audible alarms at 92 decibels and front and side ultra-bright LED visual alarms to ensure that the user and those nearby are always notified of possible hazardous conditions. For easy interpretation, the detector has an easy to read status bar and large LCD display that notifies users of the device s functionality and calibration due date. Using the menu options, users can easily adjust a variety of the instrument s settings.

Automatic Docking Station

When developing the PhD6 Multigas Detector, product developers also created an automatic docking station (Biosystems IQ6 Express Dock) to be fully compatible with the detector. The docking station aims to reduce labor time and costs by fully automating certain aspects of instrument maintenance including calibration, functionality testing, and record keeping. Using the Express Dock, users can maintain compliance with recordkeeping requirements by simply docking the detector in the station. The station will automatically perform a variety of operations without user intervention.
