ED Objective Lenses

Coatings and Prisms

All of Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED's lens surfaces are fully multi-coated and feature Celestron's proprietary XLT optical coating technology. These powerful coatings, similar to the ones you'll find on our observatory-grade telescopes, decrease reflectivity for higher optical throughput across a broad range of the visible light spectrum. What's more, the prisms inside the binocular are made of high-quality BaK-4 glass, further boosting light transmission. Objective Lenses

The Body

Custom-designed rubber armor and a durable chassis protect your SkyMaster Pro ED binocular from damage without weighing you down. Viewing through SkyMaster Pro ED binoculars is comfortable for eyeglass and non-eyeglass wearers alike, thanks to the retractable eyecups and more than 15mm of eye relief. Eyeglass wearers can see the entire field of view while looking through the eyepiece with their glasses by twisting the eyecups down. For those who do not wear eyeglasses, the eyecups position the user's eye behind the eyepieces at the correct distance for optimal viewing.

Ways to Observe

The Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED binocular is tripod-adaptable. Use the built-in tripod adapter on the balance compensation rail to mount it on any standard photographic tripod or monopod for extended viewing or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece).

SkyMaster Pro ED's eyepieces are threaded to accept standard 1.25" astronomical eyepiece filters. Adding the right filter can deliver game-changing views for terrestrial and celestial observing. To fit every environment, there are three versions available. All versions include three electrochemical and one infrared sensor. Depending on the version, the G999 features a catalytic combustion (CC) sensor, a combined CC/semiconductor sensor, a PID sensor or a fourth electrochemical sensor. Features

The Eagle One to Six Gas Portable Monitor is available with a wide variety of exclusive features. Specialty Sensors

The RKI direct connect series gas sensors are highly reliable and very cost effective for the detection of common gas hazards. The direct connect series are available for LEL, Oxygen, H2S, and CO for a variety of RKI's controllers. All sensors are explosion-proof with flame arrestors, and approved for use in hazardous locations.

The tri-sensor head can be used either indoors or outdoors. The flame arrestors for the explosion-proof versions utilize a patented coating which make them water repellent. Also, splash guards are available for use in very wet environments.

The unique tri-sensor design integrates 3 sensors into one explosion proof housing. This results in significant savings with installation and wiring cost versus traditional single sensor enclosures. Only one conduit needs to be run to the sensors.

The tri-sensor head is designed to exclusively interface with the RKI Beacon 410 controller. This 3 sensor head, used with the Beacon 410, is especially well suited for wastewater applications.
