The Xgard series of fixed point gas detectors is incredibly durable and reliable. With quick and easy installation and maintenance, the Xgard series is able to keep costs at a minimum. The replacement sensors, for example, are simple to replace by merely plugging them in. The replacement parts are also readily available and compatible with all Xgard models, thereby reducing the amount of required spare parts that are stored in the facility. Additionally, the sensors have two times the typical life spans of similar sensors in the industry. With a 2 year life span, worksites can expect to cut their sensor replacement costs in half. For worksites that require slightly more customization, Crowcon offers compatible accessories for the Xgard series such as sampling applications, remote gassing applications, spray deflectors, sun shields, weatherproof caps, collector cones, flow adapter, and accessories adapter.

The Microtector III G999 combines the demands of a modern multi-gas measurement device for protecting workers with the ability to safely measure confined spaces. As a robust and sophisticated multi-gas detector, it is versatile in its application and flexible in sensor combinations.

Safety through quality and functionality

To fit every environment, there are three versions available. All versions include three electrochemical and one infrared sensor. Depending on the version, the G999 features a catalytic combustion (CC) sensor, a combined CC/semiconductor sensor, a PID sensor or a fourth electrochemical sensor. This allows a variety of gas combinations or measuring ranges to be defined and simultaneously monitored.

The well thought-out design of the housing and the menu navigation, allows for easy operation in difficult situations. Designed for difficult working conditions

The Microtector III G999 is certified for use in Ex Zone 0 and is water and dust-proof according to protection class IP 67 and is suitable for challenging applications. The rubberized polycarbonate housing provides excellent protection against jolts and impacts, while the practical design and robust crocodile clip ensure optimum wearing comfort.

Ample Battery Power for Long Operating Times

Unlike other devices, the G999 features a double battery capacity of up to 130 hours of operation and provides power supply to the pump.

Remote Monitoring to Protect Employees

If devices with radio modules are used, teams can be monitored centrally via the portable GfG-Link or using a computer and USB dongle. Information regarding the measured gas concentrations, alarms and the status of the man-down alarm will then be available in real time.

In such situations the Microtector III G888 is recommended. Like the G999, it offers optimum individual protection for all those who have to work in hazardous areas and/or enclosed spaces.

Hot wire probe - features

Use the fixed cable to connect the hot wire probe to the measuring instrument.

The probe is equipped with a telescope, which can be extended to a maximum length of 0.85 m. To ensure accurate measurement results, air density compensation is carried out via the integrated absolute pressure measurement.

The clearly structured measurement menu for volume flow makes the measuring instrument intuitive to operate. The volume flow is precisely calculated thanks to convenient input of the size and geometry of the duct cross-section. Timed and multi-point mean calculation, average volume flow, current reading and min./max. values are displayed in the measuring instrument.

Integrated sensor protection: when you are not using the hot wire probe, the rotatable protective cap protects the air velocity sensor from dirt and mechanical stress.

Intelligent calibration concept

You will get exceptionally accurate measurement results with the digital probe, because the measuring instrument makes measurement uncertainty a thing of the past. You only need to send the probe in for calibration - so the measuring instrument remains in continuous use.

S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The RKI S2 Sensors and Transmitters use state of the art sensor technology to detect common gas hazards. Their efficient design and cost effectiveness make them an industry choice for atmospheric monitoring. The sensor transmitters can be used in both indoor and outdoor conditions and are designed to interface with RKI controllers or PLC/DCS systems.

The sensors are available in explosion proof casing for monitoring LEL, H2 specific, oxygen, H2S, CO2, and carbon monoxide. These sensors also have flame arrestors and are approved for use in hazardous environments. The oxygen, H2S, CO, and CO2 sensors are available in non-explosion proof models. The sensors provide highly specific and quick detection and are long lasting. The sensors can be quickly replaced while on the field and do not require any tools.

Explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The explosion proof sensors use a variety of detection mechanisms including catalytic for LEL and LEL- H2 specific; metal oxide semiconductor for hydrogen; galvanic cell technology for oxygen; electrochemical for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide; and infrared for carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrocarbons. A hydrogen specific sensor transmitter is not available. Each of these detection methods come with their own measuring range specifications and response times varying from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. These sensors are stainless steel and are housed in a cast aluminum explosion proof J-Box (a stainless steel J-Box is also available).

Non-explosion proof S2 Sensor/Transmitter

The non-explosion proof sensors use galvanic cells for oxygen detection; electrochemical technology for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other toxics; and infrared technology for carbon dioxide detection. The response times vary between 20 seconds and 60 seconds depending on the targeted gas, and the measuring ranges vary as well. These sensors are plastic or aluminum and housed in an explosion proof J-Box.

Accessories

The S2 Sensor/Transmitter has numerous accessories available to meet the individual workplace's needs. Such accessories include calibration adaptors, flow through adaptors, remote horns and lights, calibration kits, battery backups, splash guards, air aspirator adaptors or panels, and data loggers.
