The PS200 is a rugged, easy to use portable multi-gas detector ideal for use in confined spaces and hotworks. Both lightweight and durable the instrument monitors and displays up to four hazardous gas conditions simultaneously using catalytic bead sensor technology for a wide range of combustible gases, and electrochemical sensors for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and oxygen deficiency. Operator interface and calibration are intuitive and easy by toggling between simple one-button functions. During hazardous conditions users are alerted via three alarm functions: vibration, red flashing LEDs, and audible buzzer. The FS20X is the latest generation high technology Multi Spectrum (UV/Dual IR/VIS) Fire and Flame Detector, which is part of the FSX family of advanced technology Electro-Optical Flame detectors.

Based on the foundation of the highly successful and reliable SS4 detector, the FS20X detector represents a quantum leap in integrating Infrared and Ultraviolet sensing technologies. The FS20X is a Multi-Spectrum and UV/Dual IR/VIS fire and flame detector with a proven UV solar-blind sensor. The FS20X exhibits faster false-alarm free response to fires over a wider temperature range and with a much longer detection range compared to conventional UV/IR detectors.

Conventional and older technology UV/IR detectors, using narrow band 4.3 micron IR sensors, will not respond to smoky fires or if the detector lens is contaminated with oil and other substances since both UV and 4.3 micron signals are attenuated, obscured or absorbed by thick smoke or detector lens contaminations. All UV sensors will be attenuated to some degree. Also, these old technology UV/IR detectors will not alarm to any fire if they are installed behind ordinary window glass.

Dual microprocessors provide a high level of fail-safe operation combined with fast and reliable performance. The master microprocessor performs high-speed digital sampling and signal processing calculations whilst the slave microprocessor handles various sensor data, performs communications, self-diagnostics and provides interface versatility and additional memory for storing event log and FirePic™ data. The FS20X detector has a detection range in excess of 60 m (200 feet) (very high sensitivity setting) for the detection of a 0.1m² (one square-foot) Heptane reference fire and has a cone of vision greater in volumetric coverage than most UV/IR detectors. This means fewer detectors can be used as compared to other manufacturers' detectors.

The FS20 detector using advanced patented algorithms for signal processing and fire and flame analysis is designed to alarm to all types of fires in all industrial environmental conditions. You can rely on the Draeger Pac 6500: the personal single-gas detection device warns against hazardous concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfide dioxide or oxygen with precision and reliability.

Powerful sensors with a very low t-90 response time ensure quick reactions. The Pac 6500 is versatile thanks to its wide measurement range. For example, the CO sensor measures concentrations from 1 to 1,999 ppm, and the H₂S sensor from 0.4 to 100 ppm.

Easy handling thanks to clear user guidance

The D-Light indicates whether functionality of the device has been tested and whether it is ready to use. The housing is also designed with your safety in mind: each sensor variant of the Draeger Pac 6500 features clearly visible color coding, thereby minimizing the chance of mistakes.

Robust design – even for the toughest conditions

The Pac 6500 is easily handled in even extreme conditions. Depending on the sensor, temperatures from -40 °C to 55 °C and air pressures between 700 and 1,300 mbar can be tolerated.

A membrane filter protects the sensor from foreign matter such as dust and liquids. The shock-proof, chemical-resistant housing meets the requirements specified in the IP68 standard rating.

User-friendly display with all important information

The large display clearly indicates the respective gas concentration. Other important information, such as the battery capacity, is also displayed. The bright backlighting ensures that all values are clearly legible in the dark.

360° alarm with various functions

If the Draeger Pac 6500 measures hazardous gas concentrations, it sets off an audible, visual and perceptible vibrating alarm. Two bright, flashing LEDs on the top and bottom of the device ensure that the alarm is easily visible from all sides. The acoustic signal reaches a volume of 90 dB. The display can show the peak concentration measured at any given moment. Earlier alarms registered can also be retrieved at a later time, even if they have been acknowledged.

The Pac 6500 with oxygen sensor has two additional alarm thresholds in addition to the standard alarm threshold settings. This provides an additional level of safety as a pre-alarm, in addition to the main alarm, can be set for both oxygen enriched and oxygen deficient atmospheres.

Data logger and event logger for analyses and reports

The Draeger Pac 6500 logs concentrations and events along with the date and time. The data can be loaded on a PC via an interface and processed further there.

Economical operating costs

All versions of the Pac 6500 are equipped with extremely durable DraegerSensors and a powerful battery.

The Pac 6500 is protected against water, dust and other foreign bodies by a special membrane filter. When the filter becomes heavily soiled in use, you can quickly and easily replace it yourself. The device is then ready to use again right away.

Fast function test saves time and money

Function tests and calibrations can be carried in the Draeger X-dock® calibration station. The automatic bump tests in the X-dock are a cost-efficient and convenient solution thanks to the short test duration and the extremely low consumption of test gas. The Pac 6500 is simply placed in the bump test station and automatically selects the correct setting.
